Waka Flocka Flame is finally ready to deliver the sequel to his 2010 debut Flockaveli. Five years after dropping his sophomore album, Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family, the “No Hands” MC has announced Flockaveli II.
Due early next year, the album has been plagued by several delays. “This is the fourth time I’ve made Flockaveli II,” said Waka. “I lost the original version when I lost my hard drives, and then I lost two more after that. With this version of the album I just did it.”
Ahead of the new LP, Waka unveiled “Trap My Ass Off” and “Circles” earlier this month. The latter is actually the lone track that survived from Flockaveli II’s original sessions and it carries an emotional tone. “It’s the only record I have ever made that I had tears in my eyes,” he said. “It reminds me of all the pain I overcame.”
Packed with 19 new songs, FII is also slated to feature production from Southside, Lex Leuger, TurnUP Josh, Supa Mario, and C Notes. Plus, it will include some of his best work to date, according to Flocka, who’s dropped a slew of mixtapes between albums.
“An album is supposed to be personal. People want to hear me,” he added. “There was a whole bunch of frustration and anger making this album but I want people to know the same as Flockaveli II. Better delivery, better flow. This is a Waka Flocka album.”
