Video: Lil' Kim - 'Took Us a Break'

The Queen Bee stings back. Lil’ Kim returns with the video for her buzz track “Took Us a Break.”

Opening the black-and-white clip with her signature Hard Core era squat pose, the Notorious K.I.M. shows that her hiatus is over. Soon, a nun and a snake charmer are seen bleeding from their eyes, while the triumphant Queen Bee milly rocks to the beat.

“Ain’t nothing more important than this money,” she raps, while flossing cash stacks in a warehouse filled with strippers and friends. Nicki Minaj appears to be referenced in the clip. At one point, a Barbie gets soaked in black ink.

“Took Us a Break” is slated to appear on Kim’s first album since 2005’s The Naked Truth, due next spring on Entertainment One/Queen Bee Entertainment. The first official single will drop in January.

Up next, Kim and Remy Ma are teaming up on “Wake Me Up,” which is said to be a Nicki diss track, though only a snippet has been released so far.
