N.E.R.D Performs on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
N.E.R.D is back. To celebrate the release of their new album No_One Every Really Dies, Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley returned to the stage on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday (Dec. 14).
For their first performance of “Lemon,” they threw a party in the parking lot while dancers bounced around. The camera then cut to a female dancer, who emerged from a car and twerked before being joined by more dancers, who sat atop neon-lit cars, much like their ComplexCon performance.
They kept the party going with the Future-assisted “1000.” Perched atop a minivan, Pharrell, Chad, and Shay kicked off the set, while dancers performed choreographed moves around the color-changing vehicles.

Pharrell also sat down with Kimmel to discuss N.E.R.D’s comeback. “It’s one of those things where it just hits you when it hits you,” he said of their seven-year hiatus. “I can’t just make things for myself. I’m so much better at working with other people and producing and writing songs for other people because they inspire me. I don’t inspire myself.”
No_One Every Really Dies is available now featuring appearances from Rihanna, Future, Kendrick Lamar, M.I.A., Ed Sheeran, and more.
