Drake's Virginia Black Whiskey to Launch IPO

  /  01.11.2018

Drake is giving fans the chance to own a piece of Virginia Black. The Toronto rapper is opening up his liquor business to everyday investors and listeners, who will soon have the chance to buy stock in the whiskey company.

The public offering is set to start at the end of the first quarter. Currently, fans can open up BANQ accounts to purchase shares in the company, which is raising $30,000.

Drake owns and is the face of Virginia Black, but the whiskey company is a collaboration with Brent Hocking. “Virginia Black is the perfect combination of exceptionally good juice in exquisite packaging at an accessible price,” said Hocking. “From inception, we wanted everyone to enjoy Virginia Black and are pleased to extend the opportunity to millions of Americans and other investors around the world to become part of the Virginia Black family.”

Drake, who recently starred in a Virginia Black ad with his father Dennis G and model Nicole Murphy, continues to diversify his business portfolio. On Wednesday (Jan. 10), he held a friends and family event in honor of Pick 6ix, a new restaurant he’s opening with longtime OVO affiliate Chubbs and Executive Chef Antonio Park. Taking to Instagram, Drizzy shared a special message with his co-owner.
