New Music: A$AP Ferg - 'Family'

A$AP Ferg keeps it all in the “Family” on a new collaboration, released in conjunction with Hennessy.

Over mellow production, the Trap Lord runs down his family tree. “My mama always caught me in and out with a shorty, she beat me for actin’ naughty,” he raps. “And my daddy, he a savage / Fucking bitches, the baddest, and buy a whip just to crash it.”

After remembering how his mom would curse him out in public and how his dad would come through in a Benzo with a matching fur coat, Ferg offers gratitude for the love he’s received. “Life’s a tight rope, the fam gave me balance,” he adds. “With me as I climb the mountain of the rich and the famous.”

Last year, the Hood Pope released Still Striving and he is now gearing up for his “Mad Man Tour” with Denzel Curry and IDK. The trek kicks off Feb. 28 in Philadelphia and ends Apr. 14 in New York.
