Preview Remy Ma & Chris Brown's 'Melanin Magic'
Remy Ma is teaming up with Chris Brown on her brand new single “Melanin Magic (Pretty Brown).” Before it drops this week, the rapper has shared a snippet of the song off her upcoming album, 7 Winters & 6 Summers.
Over a sample of Mint Condition’s “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes),” Remy boasts about her “brown skin” and ultra-flyness. “Got that melanin magic, brown skin poppin’ / Always fly, I stay in a cockpit,” she raps. “I want it, I cop it / Open the door, then lock it / Every time Remy touch the city, stop it.”

Breezy comes around for the melodic Mint Condition-inspired hook. “You’re my pretty brown eyes,” he sings. “I want you / I don’t need you in my life / But you’re my vibe tonight and I love you.”
Reminisce announced “Melanin Magic” with a cover art contest, allowing fans to vote on different options. The winner finds her surrounded by other women with the spotlight on her.
For his part, Brown has been working on a slew of new tracks, including a mixtape with Jacquees and a few potential bangers with Scott Storch.
“Melanin Magic,” the follow-up to “Wake Me Up” with Lil’ Kim, arrives Friday (Jan. 19), while Remy’s sophomore album 7 Winters & 6 Summers is due early this year via Columbia Records.
