TDE Announces 'The Championship Tour'

  /  01.22.2018

Kendrick Lamar is about to lead his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates on “TDE: The Championship Tour.” SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR, and Lance Skiiiwalker will be joining K-Dot on the highly-anticipated North American trek, which is set to kick off May 4 in Vancouver.

Produced by Live Nation, the arena jaunt is scheduled to continue through Los Angeles, Houston, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Toronto, and several other markets, before coming to a close June 16 in Pittsburgh.

Tickets go on sale Friday (Jan. 26) at 12 p.m. local time, but American Express card members will have early access starting Tuesday (Jan. 23) at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday (Jan. 25) at noon local time.

The highly-anticipated tour falls on the heels of Top Dawg Entertainment’s forthcoming Black Panther soundtrack, which is being curated by Kendrick, TDE, and label head Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.

This month, TDE will also be a force at the Grammys, where K-Dot’s DAMN. earned him seven nominations and SZA’s Ctrl earned her five, the most for any woman this year. Both artists are also slated to perform at Music’s Biggest Night.

Jay Rock is slated to release his new album this year featuring “King’s Dead,” the Black Panther collaboration with Kendrick, Future, and James Blake. ScHoolboy Q is working on his Blank Face follow-up, Ab-Soul is coming off Do What Thou Wilt, SiR just released November, and Lance Skiiiwalker is likely prepping the follow-up to 2016’s Introverted Intuition.
