Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, & Snoop Dogg to Headline ESSENCE Fest 2018

Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige are among the headlining acts for this year’s ESSENCE Festival, which is set to take place July 5-8 in New Orleans.

Specially curated by The Roots, the star-studded lineup also includes Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Miguel, Xscape, Fantasia, H.E.R., Idris Elba, Daniel Caesar, dvsn, Kelly Price, Ro James, Marsha Ambrosius, MC Lyte, and many more.

Fans can also expect a “Legends of Hip-Hop Show” with Doug E. Fresh featuring Big Daddy Kane, and Kool Moe Dee, among others. Meanwhile, Teddy Riley’s New Jack Swing Experience is set to include Wreckx-N-Effect, BLACKstreet, and Guy.

Last year, ESSENCE Fest was headlined by Diana Ross and Mary J. Blige, with additional performances from the likes of Chaka Khan, Solange, Teyana Taylor, Doug E. Fresh, Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Jazmine Sullivan, John Legend, and June’s Diary.

Additional acts are expected to be confirmed between now and the four-day event. See the lineup below.
