Drake's 'God's Plan' to Debut Atop Hot 100

Drake’s “God’s Plan” has already shattered records on Spotify and Apple Music. Now, it’s set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Projections indicate that the Scary Hours standout, which was released Jan. 19, will be the chart’s most-streamed and most-sold single of the week, with more than 55 million U.S. streams and more than 110,000 downloads sold, according to Billboard.

If the predictions hold up, “God’s Plan” will be No. 1 on the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, as well as the Hot 100. As for the latter chart, this would be his fourth overall No. 1 and second as a lead artist. It would also be his first to debut at the top.

Drizzy previously reached the pinnacle position with Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” in 2010 and RiRi’s “Work” in 2016. He also bowed at No. 1 with his WizKid and Kyla-assisted “One Dance” that same year.

Drake’s other Scary Hours single, “Diplomatic Immunity,” is also slated to make a splash with more than 20 million U.S. streams in its opening week. Together, the songs help the 6 God reach his 159th career Hot 100 entry, boosting his record for most among solo artists.

The OVO boss isn’t letting up. Not only did he collaborate with Migos on “Walk It Talk It,” but he’s also prepping a collaboration with Latin sensation Bad Bunny. Plus, he is cooking up a new album to follow his Scary Hours appetizer.
