Harry Hudson Taps Jaden Smith for 'Can Cowboys Cry' Short Film

  /  02.24.2018

Singer-songwriter-social media sensation Harry Hudson showcases his many talents in his short film Can Cowboys Cry.

Dedicated to his father, the four-part storyline is set in Lone Pine, Calif. and it finds Hudson as a modern cowboy. He’s joined by friend Jaden Smith and a cast of characters in a love story soundtracked by his singles “Cry for Love,” “Yellow Lights,” and “Gone.” The cinematic sunset-filled visual also features the new single “No Good” and it’s particularly meaningful for the burgeoning star, who is signed to Smith’s MSFTSmusic label via Roc Nation.

“The themes in this film are very nostalgic for me because I grew up watching western films with my pops and listening to Johnny Cash,” revealed Hudson. “My whole album was inspired by the music my dad introduced me to so it was only right that I paid homage by creating my own western.”

Born in New Jersey and raised in Los Angeles, Hudson has garnered a dedicated following from fans who witness his social media adventures with friends like Jaden and Kylie Jenner. Now, he is readying his debut album, Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night, for spring.

“My album is a journey of self-discovery – taking you from a dark point in my life to a light point in my life,” he added. “Can Cowboys Cry represents the exact same feeling but told in a different story.”
