Cardi B to Premiere 'Bartier Cardi' Video During 'Love & Hip Hop' Reunion Special

  /  03.07.2018

Cardi B is going back to her “Love & Hip Hop” roots. The chart-topping rapper will premiere the video for “Bartier Cardi” during the reunion episode of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York” on Monday (March 12).

“Next Monday, VH1 becomes BH1,” the network said in a preview clip.

Although she had already built a social media presence before, Cardi was introduced to many through her scene-stealing appearances on the reality program. She starred as part of the main cast in seasons 6 and 7 of the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” franchise.

However, Bardi decided to leave the show in order to pursue her rap career more seriously in 2016. “I don’t want people to think I became a rapper because I was on ‘Love & Hip Hop,'” she said. “Everything I do, it takes a lot of time for me to do it because only the best sells, you know?”

That decision paid off. After releasing two installments of her Gangsta Bitch Music mixtape series, Cardi skyrocketed to No. 1 with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” Now, she is making noise with “Bartier Cardi,” the second single off her forthcoming debut album, which is due this year.

After peaking at No. 14 on the Hot 100, the 21 Savage-assisted single was recently certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. “Thank you everybody,” Cardi wrote in celebration of the plaque. “Music Video coming soon..You know you wanna party with Cardi.”

Catch the video premiere on Monday, March 12, at 8 p.m. on VH1.
