Fetty Wap Remixes SZA's 'The Weekend'

  /  03.08.2018

Fetty Wap joins a growing roster of artists who’ve covered SZA’s “The Weekend” with his own rendition of the Ctrl anthem.

Zoovier takes Solana’s infidelity-inspired track and makes it his own, singing about his various lovers. “I’m not your man, but her, she says I’m yours / You say that I’m hers and I say that it’s true / I swear, I’m so confused.”

Fetty is just the latest singer to be inspired by “The Weekend.” Miguel, Khalid, Nick Cannon, Wale, Calvin Harris, Maino, and K Camp have all remixed or covered the song in the past.

“The Weekend” has gone double platinum and helped Ctrl earn its platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott also has the 2x platinum distinction, while “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” and “Broken Clocks” have gone gold.

Despite all of the accolades, SZA recently revealed that she wasn’t the biggest fan of her debut album. “I didn’t even fuck with my own album, so I was so confused and almost, like, angry that everyone fucked with it so much,” she said. “It meant everything I felt about myself was wrong.”
