Lil Mama Remixes King Combs & Chris Brown's 'Love You Better'

  /  03.28.2018

Lil Mama keeps it poppin’. The Brooklyn rapper borrows King Combs and Chris Brown’s “Love You Better” instrumental for her latest freestyle.

This time around, Mama raps about her foreign rides and her love for Bad Boy. She also pays tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. with references to his legendary lyrics.

“Brooklyn,” she raps. “Biggie, ‘Juicy.'” Later, she adds: “We party and bullshit, but we mostly build,” as a tip-of-the-hat to Biggie’s “Party and Bullshit.”

This is an unofficial remix of King Combs’ Chris Brown-assisted single. The original dropped last month, featuring samples of Schoolly D’s 1985 classic “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?” and Ultramagnetic MC’s “Ease Back” from 1988.

Case famously used the Schoolly D sample on his Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige collaboration “Touch Me Tease Me.” Lil Mama references this in her verse. “He know I’m a bad lil’ fox, so he like to fill the case up,” she raps.

Elsewhere, Lil Mama also takes a moment to join the “Free Meek Mill” movement. At one point, she tells the incarcerated rapper to “hold his head up.”

To go along with the new freestyle, Lil Mama released an Instagram lyric video. It features some behind-the-scenes clips from a pool-themed photo shoot.
