Video: Ashanti feat. Ty Dolla $ign - 'Say Less'

  /  04.06.2018

Ashanti takes on “Foolish” gossip mongers. The Grammy-winning songstress unleashes the stunning video for her Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single, “Say Less,” which dropped in November.

Directed by Noyz and LT Hutton, the sleek visual opens up on a pensive note. “Sometimes I feel like, ‘Is it really all worth it, for people to attack you and judge you, without even knowing what kind of pain and suffering you might be going through behind closed doors?'” she asks.

Ty Dolla joins Ashanti in the club after she watches rumors spread like wildfire. From Murder Inc.’s indictment to an alleged hit-and-run, the R&B starlet scrolls through websites and watches Wendy Williams and Joe Budden talk about her on television.

Later, Ashanti shows the gap between rumors and reality. The truth comes out after she’s accused of pulling out a fan’s hair and throwing her in a pool. The supporter simply slipped and fell on her own. Still, there’s more as the clip closes with a “to be continued” sign.

Produced by DJ Mustard, “Say Less” is Ashanti’s newest single. She’s also getting ready to hit the road with Ja Rule on the “Natural Born Hitters” tour, which opens Apr. 20 in Bangor and closes Aug. 11 in Peoria.

Later this year, Ashanti plans to release her new album, the follow-up to 2014’s Braveheart, which will feature contributions from Metro Boomin, Tory Lanez, Swae Lee, and J Balvin.
