Dave East keeps “Eastmixing.” The Harlem rapper revamps Wale’s “It’s Complicated” for the latest installment in his remix series.
Over the Ayo the Producer and Keyzbaby beat, East raps about his own complicated relationships with multiple women. “I think about you while I’m fucking her,” he confesses. “It’s complicated, I’m telling on myself, won’t say another word.”
Later, East reflects on how his nights out could impact the rest of his life. “Make sure I pick some rubbers up,” he rhymes. “Kairi don’t need no sisters / Probably only make women.”
Wale, whose voice remains on this version, dropped the original “It’s Complicated” as the title track for his latest EP. Today, he gave Dave East his approval on the remix, tweeting, “Well done @DaveEast.”
