New Music: D∆WN & Mumdance - 'Guardian Angel'

D∆WN is a “Guardian Angel.” Following last month’s “Bonfire,” the genre-bending songstress keeps things lit on a new collaboration with Mumdance.

Backed by an orchestra, D∆WN delivers poetic lyrics. “Darkness has to fall, night turns cold,” she sings. “You’re lost, can’t find your way / I’m always close to you / What we’ve got will last forever.”

This is the first time Mumdance uses live instruments for his production. The electronic DJ makes the most of it, providing a grand piano and dynamic strings for D∆WN’s latest soaring anthem.

“wrote this record with @mumdance for the unseen angels,” she wrote on Instagram. “for the ‘others’ that feel unheard but have powerful voices. for those misunderstood but are fully aware of themselves. here’s to the guardian angels.”

“Guardian Angel” is also a sign of things to come. D∆WN will continue to drop loosies over the next few months, as she prepares her new album for an early 2019 release via Local Action.
