SZA Teases 'Garden' Video Starring Donald Glover & Her Mother
SZA celebrated Mother’s Day with a teaser for her “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” video.
The clip, which she premiered on Sunday (May 13), finds SZA in a glittery red leotard while posing next to her mother Audrey Rowe, who dons all-white.
SZA took to Instagram to share the teaser along with a heartfelt caption: “Need u for the old me..Need u for my sanity..need u to remind me where I come from…Mommy u mean more than energy provides. My Ace .My apex . My co designer ..Happy Mother’s Day all 👑❤️”
According to the credits, the short film will also feature Donald Glover. SZA recently made a cameo in his video for “This Is America.”
“Garden” was directed by Karena Evans, who helmed Drake’s viral clips for “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What.” It’s the latest release from SZA’s platinum debut Ctrl and follows videos for “Doves in the Wind,” “Broken Clocks,” “Supermodel,” “The Weekend,” “Drew Barrymore,” and “Love Galore.”
