Tracklisting: 2 Chainz – ‘Freebase’

Freebase

2 Chainz takes it back to the trap with his EP Freebase. Due May 5, the fan-oriented project marks a return to his hardcore, street-flavored rap, and serves as a prelude to his upcoming third album.

The seven tracks include collaborations with Lil Boosie, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, and Cap 1, with production from Mike WiLL Made It, Street Symphony, Honorable C.N.O.T.E., Young Chop, and Metro Boomin.

“It has been a minute since the release of my album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time and I wanted to give something special to my fans while I record my follow-up album,” said 2 Chainz. “This is a taste of what is to come, and is most importantly, for them.”

Ed Sheeran Reveals ‘x’ Album Cover, Tracklisting

After launching his Pharrell Williams-produced single “Sing,” Ed Sheeran has unveiled the cover and tracklisting for his sophomore album x (pronounced multiply).

Due June 23, the follow-up to his 2011 debut + features 12 tracks, with production from Rick Rubin, Jeff Bhasker, Benny Blanco, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, and Jake Gosling.

“I wanted raw, honest songs from the heart,” the British crooner told Rolling Stone. “When you hear that Kesha-Pitbull song, you know it’s a hit, but it doesn’t make you want to cry or laugh or sit in a corner for five hours just repeating it.”

The album will be available for pre-order on iTunes starting Friday.

Tracklisting: SZA – ‘Z’

Z

Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, and Isaiah Rashad have all had their turn. Now Top Dawg’s first lady SZA steps up to the plate with her album Z. The 10-track follow-up to last year’s S features appearances from her TDE brothers Kendrick and Isaiah, as well as Chicago MC Chance the Rapper (“Childs Play”).

Production comes courtesy of DJ Dahi, Emile Hayne, Marvin Gaye, and Mac Miller, who helmed two tracks.

“This is probably the hardest I’ve ever worked on anything in my entire life,” the New Jersey-raised singer told Rap-Up TV. “This might be the first thing I’ve ever been proud of—ever.”

Z arrives April 8 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.

Tracklisting: Jason Derulo – ‘Talk Dirty’

Talk Dirty

In advance of the April 15 release of his third U.S. album Talk Dirty, Jason Derulo has revealed the tracklisting.

In addition to his 2 Chainz-assisted hit, the 11 tracks include seven new songs plus “The Other Side,” “Marry Me,” and the Jordin Sparks duet “Vertigo” from September’s Tattoos EP.

The album also features appearances from Snoop Dogg, Tyga, and Kid Ink, with production by Timbaland, DJ Mustard, RedOne, Wallpaper, The Cataracs, Ammo and Martin Johnson, Jon Bellion, and more.

“When I was making this album, I wanted to go in and experiment and do something that was just totally different and off the wall,” Jason told Rap-Up TV.

Tracklisting: August Alsina – ‘Testimony’

Testimony

In advance of its April 15 release, August Alsina has shared the tracklisting for his full-length debut Testimony. The 21-year-old New Orleans singer shares his tale of struggle, hustle, and survival on the 13 tracks, which include the Jeezy-assisted single “Make It Home,” plus appearances from Fabolous, Yo Gotti, and Rick Ross.

His Trinidad Jame$-assisted hit “I Luv This Shit” is included as a bonus track, along with “Numb” featuring B.o.B and Yo Gotti.

“Nothing is held back on Testimony,” August told Rap-Up TV. “I struggled with it for a minute. … I never want nobody to feel like I’m talking about them or putting people’s business out there, but then at the same time, this is my story. This is what it is, so let me give it to you.”

The album will be available for pre-order on Tuesday along with the Rick Ross-assisted “Benediction.”

Tracklisting: Iggy Azalea – ‘The New Classic’

The New Classic

The wait is over. After much anticipation, Iggy Azalea unveils the tracklisting for her debut The New Classic. Due April 22, the 12-track standard edition includes the singles “Work,” “Change Your Life,” and “Fancy,” while three additional tracks are featured on the deluxe.

The Aussie rapper taps Stargate, Timbaland, T.I., Mavado, Watch the Duck, Charli XCX, and Katy Perry, who co-wrote “Black Widow” featuring Rita Ora.

In a 2012 interview with MTV, Iggy explained the album title. “What makes something classic is when you hear it and you have that moment that is a time capsule,” she said. “When I say The New Classic, I just want to make records that give you that moment for fans that they can remember where they were when they heard it.”

The album is now available for pre-order on iTunes. If you purchase it, you will receive the instant track “Impossible Is Nothing.”
