2 Chainz earned a No. 1 debut and a Grammy nomination for his breakthrough album Based on a T.R.U. Story. But the in-demand rapper is not slowing down. Fresh off his performance at Summer Jam on Sunday, the Hairweave Killer returns with the Pharrell-assisted “Feds Watching,” the first single off his sophomore album.

The Atlanta rapper boasts about his fashion game (“Mr. Comme des Garçons, Mr. Alexander Wang”) and come-up (“grams to Grammys”), while The Neptunes producer provides the slinky hook.

“I’ma be fresh as hell if the feds watching/ Drop top, head boppin’,” raps 2 Chainz on the catchy chorus.

The song is now available on iTunes, while his album arrives September 10.

2 Chainz brought some ratchetness and surprises to the Summer Jam stage on Sunday. In addition to performing his hits, the Atlanta rapper was joined by Nicki Minaj for “I Luv Dem Strippers” and “Beez in the Trap.” The Young Money star, who rocked a Chanel hat over her curly blonde wig, returned to the Hot 97 concert following last year’s debacle.

“New York, Jersey, Hot 97 I love you!” she said before walking off stage and into the arm’s of Hot 97 personality Peter Rosenberg, who dissed her hit “Starships” during last year’s event.

2 Chainz also debuted “Feds Watching,” the first single off his upcoming sophomore album, due September 10.

“I’ma be fresh as hell if the feds watching,” he raps on the Pharrell-assisted cut.

After catering to the ladies on “Ready” with Chris Brown, Fabolous feeds the streets with his new single “When I Feel Like It.” Loso teams with his Def Jam labelmate 2 Chainz for the David D.A. Doman-produced anthem.

Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power is due in late July featuring Future, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, and Trey Songz.

“I’ma give you what I do and some collaborations here and there, but definitely some evolution as an artist, as a man, as a father, as a friend,” Loso told Rap-Up TV of the sequel to 2009’s Loso’s Way. “Just talking about some real shit and still doing what I do, giving you some witty lines, giving you some catchy stuff for the ladies. Just good music overall.”

When Rihanna premiered the official remix to “Pour It Up,” 2 Chainz was surprisingly absent. But a new version of the song has surfaced featuring him alongside Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Juicy J, and T.I. The Atlanta rapper piles on a verse after Tip, rapping about Big Foot, Sasquatch, and “smoking kiki with RiRi.”

Rihanna recently shot a video for the song featuring pole dancers, a blonde wig, and dollar bills with her face on it.
