New Music: G-Unit – ‘Ahhh Shit’

Ahh Shit

In the wake of the Michael Brown shooting, artists such as J. Cole and Elle Varner are using their voices to take a stand.

Now G-Unit’s 50 Cent, Young Buck, and Kidd Kidd stage their own protest with a song entitled “Ahhh Shit.” The hip-hop supergroup gives the middle finger to the police on the 808 Mafia-produced track, which features sound bites from Ferguson.

“Now why the f**k did you call them cops? / Throw your hands up, you still gettin’ shot / Here they come now, they out on patrol / They done killed a few, they finna kill some more,” raps 50.

Drake and Lil Wayne Bring Out 50 Cent on Tour

Young Money and G-Unit joined forces in Hartford, Conn. last night. After sharing the stage with Drake at OVO Fest, 50 Cent surprised the crowd during the latest stop on the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” tour at the XFINITY Theatre. 50 had the place rocking to “In Da Club,” while Weezy and Drizzy got super hype.

“Just popped out on Drake VS. Wayne Great show,” said 50.

Backstage, he was also joined by his fellow G-Unit members Young Buck and Kidd Kidd.

Weezy was chosen to open the show by fans using the Drake Vs. Lil Wayne app, but the Hartford audience gave Drake the victory, bringing the tour tally to 3-2 in Wayne’s favor.

Drake Welcomes Lauryn Hill, Usher, & 50 Cent at 5th Annual OVO Fest

Drake once again brought the stars to his hometown for the 5th Annual OVO Fest. Following last year’s star-studded lineup of Kanye West, TLC, Diddy, and Ma$e, the Canadian superstar shared the stage with Lauryn Hill, Usher, 50 Cent, Trey Songz, and J. Cole during Monday’s three-hour event at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.

It’s the Unit. The New York crew drops the top and rides out for the summer on its latest original song “Come Up.” Over a sample of The Gap Band’s ’80s hit “Outstanding,” 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, and Kidd Kidd boast about getting paid and looking good while doing it.

“Grindin’, diamonds shinin’, top reclinin’ / We do it again / Watch a ni**a come up,” raps 50.

G-Unit sets off fireworks this 4th of July with their remix to YG and Drake’s “Who Do You Love?” Hot on the heels of their “Move That Dope (Remix),” 50 Cent addresses his beef with Slowbucks on his explosive opening verse.

“Goddammit I don’t see how a ni**a fix his mouth to say he done made me / I got beef with a ton of ni**as, not one of them ni**as ever try to run up on me,” he spits.

Banks boasts about his 13 years in the game, while Buck shouts out Boosie on the DJ Mustard-produced beat.
