Young Money said farewell to 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend in grand style. Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj hosted an All-Star finale party at Boulevard3 in Hollywood following Sunday’s game. A blonde-haired Nicki held court in the balcony as Weezy smoked his cigar and drank juice from a bottle of smartwater. Cash Money’s DJ Khaled entertained the crowd and the beautiful Ameriie was seen flashing her engagement ring on the red carpet.

Ameriie journeys around the world on “Outside Your Body,” the Euro-pop lead single from her fifth album Cymatika Vol. 1, due next year. The track, written by Ameriie and produced by Andre Harris, Kasey Phillips, and Nikholai Greene, takes listeners on an international tour, infusing the banger with blinding synths and an infectious melody.

“Tell me where you want to go/ Let me take you to London town and Paris, yeah/ Tokyo and Seoul,” sings the sexy singer on the chorus before adding a few lines in Korean.

“‘Outside Your Body’ is about the recognition that we are eternal beings, that these physical bodies are not who we are, and how we should remember and celebrate our unlimited potential. We have no limits,” Ameriie explained to Rap-Up.com.

Ameriie goes global with the first single from her 2011 album Cymatika Vol. 1. Penned by Ameriie and produced by Andre Harris, Kasey Phillips, and Nikholai Greene, the sexy singer calls out London, Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul on the dance-pop tune, even singing a little in Korean.

“When writing this album, I really wanted to talk about what affects us on a spiritual level. Not a religious level, but on the level pertaining to who we are, who we really are as spiritual beings,” Ameriie tells Rap-Up.com. “I wrote about the intimidation we feel from different outside sources, including society in general, that cause us to want to hide who we are, change who we are, and suppress ourselves in a sense. I wrote about self-suppression as a self-defense type of reaction, self-defense from other people’s forceful ideas of who and how we should be.

“That’s what Cymatika as a project is really about. It’s about existing in this world and recognizing the power we all have naturally—truly realizing it. ‘Outside Your Body’ is about the recognition that we are eternal beings, that these physical bodies are not who we are, and how we should remember and celebrate our unlimited potential. We have no limits.”

Ameriie, who traded in her blonde wig for long black hair earlier this month, supported her friend and advisor Deepak Chopra at his MYMAG launch event in Beverly Hills last night. The new single from her spring 2011 album Cymatika Vol. 1 is set to premiere on her website later this month. The project will feature a more “international, worldly” sound.

Ameriie is done having her blonde moment. The “1 Thing” singer has gone back to her black-haired roots with her latest hairstyle. She debuted the long locks at the Los Angeles movie premiere of Skyline at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE on Tuesday (Nov. 9). “Thank God I never actually cut it!” she tweeted.

Not only did Ameriie throw an extra “i” in her name to switch things up a bit, but the “1 Thing” singer took her image overhaul one step further. She recently debuted her new look at a Grey Goose event in Dallas, Texas, dying her luscious dark locks platinum blonde.

“I’ve always wanted to go platinum blonde, and I figured I’d finally just do it,” Ameriie exclusively tells Rap-Up.com of her new ’do. “One of the things that inspired me are photos I’ve seen of children in the Solomon Islands. They are very brown-skinned, and a lot of them grow white-blonde hair naturally. The contrast in dark skin tone and extremely light hair is really beautiful to me. So I just went for it!”

The Grammy nominee is currently in the studio recording Cymatika Vol. 1, the follow-up to last year’s In Love & War, which will showcase a more “international, worldly” sound.
