Keyshia Cole and Ashanti keep it real on “Woman to Woman,” the title track off Keyshia’s fifth album, available Monday. The ladies sing about a man who they are both having a relationship with, but instead of fighting about it, they are able to sit down and work through the situation.

“It’s her point of view against my point of view in a hypothetical scenario,” Keyshia told ThisIs50.

“I appreciate her realness and the gutterness that she brings to the table,” she said of her collaborator. “I know she gets really glammed up, but she’s still gutter. Her songwriting skills are off the chain, so I definitely wanted to incorporate that from a different woman’s point of view.”

Fresh from their romantic European getaway, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian brought their fashion A-game to the Angel Ball 2012 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Mr. West looked sharp in a tuxedo, while Kim was beaming in a blue slit dress. ‘Ye surprised his girlfriend by taking her to Italy over the weekend to celebrate her 32nd birthday. He wined and dined her, and there were even rumors that he proposed.

“Kanye surprised me for my birthday and took me to Italy!” wrote Kim on her blog. “This has been the most incredible, romantic trip ever!!”

Another glamorous couple, Ashanti and Nelly, showed up to the ball in black. Nelly also got on the mic to perform. Solange wowed in a plunging dress, while her mother Tina Knowles was more conservative with her fashion.

Ashanti had not one, but two parties to celebrate her 32nd birthday. On Friday night, her boyfriend Nelly hosted a party for her at Reign nightclub in Atlanta with guests including T.I. and Tiny. The champagne didn’t stop flowing until the next night when he surprised her with a private dinner at STK for her family and friends. The birthday girl was seen getting cozy with her man and toasting with Tip and Tiny. She wore a tiara that said “Birthday Princess” and was presented with a pink-and-gold cake.

“Sooo…..They did it Again!!! My 2nd bday surprise!!!!! Lol I love em!!!” tweeted Ashanti.

The R&B songstress has a lot to celebrate. Her new single “That’s What We Do” featuring R. Kelly was released to iTunes earlier this month and she can be seen anchoring Fuse’s new daily music show “Fuse News.”

While you were sleeping, Ashanti quietly released her new song “That’s What We Do” to iTunes. The R&B siren, who recently started her new gig as anchor of Fuse’s daily music show “Fuse News,” duets with the one and only R. Kelly on the mid-tempo number, which is expected to appear on Ashanti’s upcoming album Braveheart. The two go back and forth fussing and fighting, but at the end of the day, no one can break their bond.

“Now I’ma look through your phone and I’ma call back that number/ I’ma curse out that ho and let her know to stay away from ya,” sings a sassy Ashanti, while the Pied Piper responds, “‘Cause that’s what we do.”

Ashanti warmed up for her new gig as anchor of Fuse’s new daily music show “Fuse News.” One of her first guests was Lupe Fiasco. She asked the Chi-town MC about the simple, yet striking all-black cover for his new album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1.

Lupe revealed that the cover was inspired by Johnny Cash’s 1971 protest song “Man in Black.” “The reason he wore black, he wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He’s there ’cause he’s a victim of the time,” he explained.

The blank artwork is intended to stand out and make a statement. “It’s the easiest album to find,” said Lupe. “I wanted to have something to cherish, like this is kinda history right here.”
