Azealia Banks Teases ‘Heavy Metal and Reflective’ Video

Azealia Banks

Now that she’s a free agent, Azealia Banks is moving ahead with her music. The Harlem rapper, who exited her deal with Universal Music earlier this month, has shared an Instagram teaser for her new single “Heavy Metal and Reflective.”

Clad in a helmet, neon bodysuit, and motocross goggles, Banks tears up the desert on the back of a dirt bike in the brief clip. She turns to the camera and flips the middle finger while her hair whips in the wind.

“‘HEAVY METAL AND REFLECTIVE’ is an ASS-CLAPPERRRRRRRR !!!!!” she said of the song. “All the big butts, little butts, fake butts and real butts gonna be clapping for their LIVESSSSS.”

Watch Yung Rapunxel storm the desert.

Jennifer Hudson, Azealia Banks Perform at L.A. PRIDE Festival

Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson and Azealia Banks celebrated gay pride at the 2014 L.A. PRIDE Festival in West Hollywood on Saturday. The ladies performed in the park as part of the weekend-long festivities.

The Harlem rapper slayed the stage in a superhero-inspired outfit and white Air Force Ones, performing hits including “Yung Rapunxel,” “ATM Jam,” “212,” and a cover of Robin S.’ “Show Me Love” as confetti fell from the sky.

“I had such a good time at Pride today! The crowd showed me so much love I couldn’t even take it,” tweeted Banks.

She also apologized for her previous offensive comments. “I sincerely want to apologize to anyone who was hurt by the things I’ve said in the past,” she said. “I won’t go into it but you KNOW what I’m talking about. It wasn’t nice and it wasn’t fair. . . I hope the entire LGBTQ community will forgive me.”

Showing off her svelte figure in a little black dress, J-Hud closed out the evening with a dazzling set. The powerhouse diva—and her scantily-clad male dancers—strut across the stage while belting out “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” “Pocketbook,” and “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”

The ladies of Danity Kane will cap off the festival with a show tonight.

Past PRIDE performers have included Ciara, Lil’ Kim, and Kelly Rowland.

Eve and Azealia Banks Meet Up at Paris Fashion Week

Eve and Azealia Banks

Eve and Azealia Banks put the past behind them and caught up at Paris Fashion Week. The rap divas were both performers at the Etam womenswear fall/winter show on Tuesday. They ripped the runway alongside lingerie-clad models and posed together backstage.

“Eve is such a nice lady! So happy to have performed alongside her tonight !!!” gushed Azealia. “Eve reminds me so much of my sister Latwan.”

Eve reposted the photo, adding, “Amazing energy tonight!”

The Philly rapper reached out to Azealia for a collaboration in the past, but didn’t hear back. “I think she might have been one of the ones that was like, ‘I think I’m busy.’ She was doing her thing and poppin’, so it could be that,” she told “The Breakfast Club” last year.

However, she still gave her props. “I like her wordplay. I think she actually can rhyme, I just don’t like the drama,” said Eve of the “212″ hitmaker.

For her part, Azealia said she was never even aware that Eve’s camp had reached out. “Def never even received a memo about collaborating ! Def never turned you down,” she tweeted.

See the fierce femcees strut their stuff at Fashion Week.
