Beyoncé and Jay Z Invade the Desert for Coachella

Beyoncé and Jay Z

The Carters took over Coachella. The superstar couple touched down in Indio via private jet and made their way to the festival on Saturday.

After changing clothes, Bey made a surprise appearance during Solange’s set at the Gobi Tent. The sisters busted out some choreographed moves during the “Losing You” finale.

They hugged it out onstage and Solange received a warm embrace from her brother-in-law backstage. In between catching Cage the Elephant and Pharrell, Bey also caught up with her pal Rita Ora. Even Tina Knowles got in on the fun, taking in the festival experience with her daughters.

Jay Z, who headlined Coachella four years ago, also hit the stage to perform “Dead Presidents” and “Where I’m From” alongside Nas.

Ed Sheeran

After previewing a snippet last month, Ed Sheeran debuted his full cover of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.” With guitar in hand, the red-haired crooner performed an acoustic version of Bey’s hit during his visit to Z100′s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” (via Billboard).

His second album x (read multiply), due June 23, shares the same title as Chris Brown’s long-awaited album. “We’re going to have a showdown,” said Ed. “I’m not gonna win. That guy’s stacked. He’s got muscles.”

The follow-up to 2011′s + features contributions from Rick Rubin and Pharrell, who produced the lead single “Sing.”

Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy Vacation in Dominican Republic

Beyoncé and Jay Z

Life’s a beach for the Carters. Beyoncé and Jay Z celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary with a trip to the Dominican Republic earlier this week. The superstar couple relaxed at a plush resort on the Caribbean island with their daughter Blue Ivy, sharing the candid pics on Bey’s Tumblr page.

Hov gave Blue a piggyback ride and Bey strolled hand-in-hand with her two-year-old daughter on the sand. A bikini-clad Bey, who scored seven nominations at the Billboard Music Awards, also did a handstand and kicked back with her husband while enjoying the oceanfront view.

According to E! Online, the Carters were also spotted at Casa de Compo resort during their vacation.

While seated at the bar, Jay Z noticed a man wearing a Brooklyn Nets shirt and tapped him on the back to say, “Cool shirt man.”

Beyoncé Covers Out Magazine’s Power Issue

Beyoncé

All hail Queen Bey. Fresh off her world tour, Beyoncé graces the May 2014 Power issue of gay lifestyle magazine Out. The “Partition” singer channels Marilyn Monroe, rocking a curly blonde bob and pearl necklace in the stunning black-and-white photo.

In the issue, Blue Ivy’s mother speaks out on behalf of her fellow females. “There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality that still persists,” says Bey. “Men are free and women are not. That is crazy.”

She also encourages women to celebrate their sexuality. “You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist—whatever you want to be—and still be a sexual being,” she continues. “There is unbelievable power in ownership and women should own their sexuality.”

While the interview with Beyoncé was done via email, the magazine received unprecedented access to team Beyoncé including her publicist, stylist, and visual director, who gave insight into working with the world’s biggest pop star.

“I call them the underdogs because so many people doubted the team I put together,” said Bey of her Parkwood Entertainment family.

Bey’s quest for perfection helped turn her latest album into a game changer. “There were days I spent solely on getting the perfect mix of sounds for the snare alone,” she said. “Discipline, patience, control, truth, risk, and effortlessness were all things I thought about while I was putting this album together.”

Check out more photos from the issue below and read the full article on Out.com.
