New Music: M.I.A. – ‘Baddygirl (Flawless Remix)’

Baddygirl

After teasing the song back in March, M.I.A. drops her Party Squad remix to Beyoncé’s ladies anthem “***Flawless” entitled “Baddygirl.”

“Beyonce camp has not replied for months > SO HERE >,” she tweeted.

Maya puts her own spin on Bey’s lyrics: “I woke up like this, I went to bed like this, we do everything just like this.”

And we love the fact that the artwork she used is a screen grab of herself with Rap-Up.com in the background.

Beyoncé and Jay Z: All Smiles at Nets Game Post-Solange Fight

Jay Z and Beyoncé

Beyoncé and Jay Z are taking on the headlines with a smile. Despite the footage of Jay Z’s elevator scuffle with Solange leaking earlier in the day, the superstar couple was back on the court for Game 4 of the playoffs between the Nets and Heat at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Monday.

They didn’t get to their seats until the second quarter, but when they did, they were acting like their normal selves and chatted up their pal LeBron James.

The Carters also attended Saturday’s game before the surveillance video went public on TMZ.

The Standard Hotel in New York, where Solange attacked her brother-in-law following the Met Gala, said they were “shocked and disappointed” by the security breach.

“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity,” the hotel said in a statement.

Beyoncé and Jay Z Attend Nets Game After Solange Fight

Jay Z and Beyoncé

Before the world saw the infamous surveillance video of Solange attacking Jay Z, Beyoncé and her husband enjoyed a peaceful night out at the Nets vs. Heat playoff game on Saturday. The couple seemed perfectly happy as they cheered on the Brooklyn team at Barclays Center. Jay even shared laughs with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

Following Solange’s brawl with her brother-in-law at the Met Gala after-party, E! Online reports that Beyoncé and Solange attended Kelly Rowland’s secret wedding to Tim Witherspoon in Costa Rica.

According to immigration reports, Bey and her sister entered the country on Thursday and left Saturday morning. Jay Z was reportedly not present, but Michelle Williams and Bey’s mom Tina Knowles did make the trip.

On Saturday, Beyoncé posted an Instagram photo of herself clad in what appeared to be wedding attire with the caption “GoodMorning.”

Check out more photos of the Carters courtside following last week’s incident.

Solange Attacks Jay Z in an Elevator

Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Solange

File this under strange. Jay Z was violently attacked by his sister-in-law Solange inside an elevator at a Met Gala after-party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC.

TMZ has obtained surveillance footage from the bizarre incident.

Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Solange step into the elevator. Solange can be seen screaming at Jay before physically assaulting him, kicking and swinging at him.

A bodyguard attempts to hold her back, but she manages to land a kick before Jay grabs her foot. Meanwhile, Beyoncé stands back and eventually gets in the middle of them to block the fight.

At one point, the bodyguard hits the emergency switch on the 12th floor to stop the elevator from opening.

It’s unclear what triggered the fight. The photo above was taken as they left the party, and Solange is clearly not happy.

UPDATE: Watch the full three-and-a-half-minute clip of the wild fight below.

Beyoncé Pays Homage to Aaliyah

Beyoncé

Bow down. Beyoncé paid tribute to another queen, Aaliyah, on Instagram. Queen Bey rocked shades and a Revolution Riche sweater with Babygirl’s face on it as she posed against a white wall. The ’90s throwback photo of the late singer was taken from the Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number era.

Only 50 of the red, white, and blue “American Babygirl” sweaters were made. They went on sale earlier this year on Aaliyah’s birthday. Some sizes are currently on back order, but you can still grab one for $179 before they sell out.

To celebrate her “Pretty Hurts” single, Bey has released a video for her #WhatIsPretty campaign starring fans explaining what pretty means to them.

‘SNL’ Stans for Beyoncé in ‘Beygency’ Skit

The Beygency

Beyoncé runs the world, and if you disagree, your life may be in danger. “Saturday Night Live” poked fun at everyone’s obsession with the pop superstar in a film parody starring host Andrew Garfield.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star learns what happens to people who go against the Queen Bee when he mentions that he’s not a huge fan of “Drunk in Love.”

“He turned against his country, and it’s queen,” says the narrator in the four-minute trailer.

A group of secret government agents known as “The Beygency” relentlessly hunt him down to erase his identity. He encounters Rihanna stans, played by “24″ stars Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub, who try to help him escape before they are gunned down.

He is eventually thrown behind bars, where he meets a woman who was imprisoned for not dancing to “Crazy in Love” at a wedding.

Watch the dramatically hilarious trailer, which is rated NC-17 for Mild Language Against Beyoncé.
