New Music: Busta Rhymes f/ Q-Tip – ‘Poetic Justice (Remix)’

Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip

Busta Rhymes pays homage to Janet Jackson on his remix to Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice,” which features Janet’s Poetic Justice co-star Q-Tip.

The Cash Money rapper reminisces about shooting his $2.4 million dollar video for “What’s It Gonna Be?!” with Janet and admits to having a crush on her, while Tip cops to kissing Ms. Jackson on screen (but that’s as far as it went).

“I’m a little jealous, Tip/ Your tongue went in her mouth in that Poetic Justice movie, from what I can account,” raps Bussa Bus before throwing it to the Tribe Called Quest member.

“A captivating lady, I used to be her baby/ Good times, they never fading/ Look back and celebrate, poetic justice,” spits Q-Tip over a sample of Janet’s “Any Time, Any Place.”

You can find this remix and more on Busta’s new mixtape Catastrophic, which drops today.
