Whether it’s her shaved head or head-turning outfits, Cassie is always on the cutting edge of fashion. The stylish singer invited Vogue Italia inside her closet, which was once a bedroom in her plush New York apartment.
She modeled several looks including a short red-hot number with studded Christian Louboutin heels, stunning black Diane von Furstenberg gown that she wore to Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party the day Whitney Houston died (“I was sad wearing it”), and a leather and denim jacket paired with Balenciaga boots.
Cassie is readying the follow-up to “King of Hearts.” “It’s more of an in-your-face, tougher Cassie,” she told Clevver Music of the Jean-Baptiste-produced single.
Her sophomore album will feature elements of ska, hip-hop, pop, and dance, with contributions from Rico Love (“Balcony”) and Young Jeezy, who appears on a ballad.
Machine Gun Kelly launches a lyrical assault on “Warning Shot,” his killer collaboration with Cassie off his EP Half Naked & Almost Famous, available on iTunes tomorrow. The “Wild Boy” fires off rapid rhymes, while his Bad Boy labelmate sounds the alarm on the hook.

Following her trip to Paris for Fashion Week, Cassie stopped by Tim Westwood’s radio show on BBC Radio 1Xtra to promote her new single “King of Hearts.” The model/singer shared her thoughts on Kanye West’s new womenswear line, meeting Shyne for the first time, reconnecting with former producer Ryan Leslie, and addressed the constant speculation surrounding her relationship with Diddy. She also hinted at a possible collaboration with Nicki Minaj on her upcoming album. Read some of the highlights below.
The stars came out to support Kanye West at his second womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week. From G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean to chic couple Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz and Bad Boy’s Diddy and Cassie, the front row was a who’s who in entertainment and fashion. Other star sightings included Katy Perry, Common, Shyne, Rosario Dawson, and Teyana Taylor.
Kim Kardashian strutted in the $5800 knit heels that Kanye designed with Giuseppe Zanotti and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour returned to show her support. “I’m very fond of Kanye,” she told the WSJ.
Following the runway presentation, Azealia Banks, Waka Flocka Flame, Mos Def, and DJ A-Trak performed for the fashionable crowd, who went go-karting in their designer duds. “That was the most fun I’ve had this year!” tweeted Banks.
Cassie bared her heart and more at the launch event for her single “King of Hearts” in Paris during Fashion Week. The model-turned-singer rocked a Roberto Cavalli sequined blazer over her bare chest, with purple fur coat and neon orange pants. Her Bad Boy boss Diddy and Pierre Sarkozy, the son of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, mingled with the chic crowd as Cassie’s electro-dance single pumped from the speakers at L’Arc Club.
She is expected to attend Kanye West’s womenswear show later today. According to MTV’s “Sucker Free,” Yeezy has recorded a remix to “King of Hearts.”
Just days before he presents his new womenswear line to the fashion world, Kanye West was front row at the Givenchy show at Paris Fashion Week. Yeezy sported a studded white sweater with stars as he soaked up some inspiration alongside Alicia Keys, who looked saintly in a white blouse and blazer with a cross hanging from her neck.
Kanye is good friends with Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci, who designed the packaging and wardrobe for the Watch the Throne album and tour. Tisci even gave the first T-shirt from Givenchy’s children’s line to Alicia and Swizz Beatz’ son Egypt.
The reunited Diddy and Shyne met up with ‘Ye outside the show and Cassie posed for portraits in all black at the after-party.
It was a Bad Boy reunion at Paris Fashion Week. Sean “Diddy” Combs linked up with his former signee Shyne at the Kenzo show on Sunday. “Me and Shyne Po front row at Kenzo,” wrote Diddy. Shyne, who is an Orthodox Jew, was dressed in his traditional Hasidic garb as he sat alongside the hip-hop mogul and later headed to dinner with the Bad Boy crew including Cassie.
The two have reconciled after Shyne took the rap for the infamous Club New York shooting in 1999. He served a nine-year prison sentence after being convicted of assault and gun possession, while Diddy was acquitted.
“As far as Puff is concerned, that’s been a long time coming,” Shyne recently told MTV News. “He had reached out to me twice while I was in the pen, but I just wasn’t ready for it.”
