New Music: XO! – ‘Loyal (Remix)’

Everyone from Keyshia Cole to The Lox has remixed “Loyal.” Now newcomers XO! put their fresh spin on Chris Brown’s top 10 hit. The duo, consisting of South Bronx rapper Maliibu Miitch and classically-trained singer/dancer Helene Britany, rep for the ladies with their fierce and feisty response.

Lyrics include: “You wanna rich bitch, don’tcha? / ‘Cause your shawty can’t do nothin’ for ya / These ni**as ain’t loyal.”

The song marks the first new music from the duo.

After his emotional speech at the BET Awards, Best New Artist winner August Alsina brought a smile to R&B lovers’ faces with his performance. The New Orleans singer opened with “Kissin’ on My Tattoos” while female acrobats danced above him.

He continued with his hit single “I Luv This Shit.” But the big surprise was when Trey Songz joined him on stage, ending their beef. Chris Brown came down from the aisles to join the fellas on the remix.

After hugging it out with his R&B brothers, Trigga continued with his solo set, performing “Na Na” with a stage full of sexy ladies.

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber Face Off at Celebrity Basketball Game

The stars took to the court at Saturday’s Sprite Celebrity Basketball Game during the BET Experience. Chris Brown showed off his baller skills on team Lime, which included Snoop Dogg and Bobby V. They faced off against Justin Bieber, The Game, Soulja Boy, Omarion, and Tyga on the Lime team.

They were neck and neck, but Breezy’s team managed to pulled off a last-minute win with a final score of 69-67.

“Thank you to everyone at BET for having me today at the game,” tweeted Bieber. “Honored to play and thanks for being so kind. #goodtimes.”

Breezy later celebrated his victory at his 1st Annual Roller Skate Jam benefitting his Symphonic Love foundation.

Tank Teases Chris Brown BET Awards Performance

The secret is out. Chris Brown will be taking the stage at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday for the first time since his release from jail. While there has not been an official announcement, his friend Tank confirmed the rumors to Rap-Up TV.

“We’re getting ready to see him get back on stage at the BET Awards,” said Tank at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills on Thursday. “I’m super excited about that. He’s got some new material that is really going to floor everybody.”

But he doesn’t want to ruin the surprise. “I’ve been kinda staying away from it ’cause I wanna be that guy in the audience that’s a real fan and really appreciate it for what it is. I’ll be sitting there waiting with my eyes open.”

Tank has heard Breezy’s upcoming album X, and promises it will be worth the wait. “All I can say is he hasn’t lost his step. He’s only gotten better. This kid is amazing. He just keeps getting better.”

On August 12, Tank will release his own album Stronger. “This album reflects how happy I am,” he said. “I’ve been through the storm and I’ve made it out, and on the other side of that storm was some sunshine. So right now we’re dancing in that sunshine and it’s good.”

Plus, he confirmed that he will reunite with Tyrese and Ginuwine for a new TGT album. “We gotta do it. The people want it, they need it. We’re already signed on for it. There’s a check that comes along with it. We’re ready to rock.”
