Drake and Lil Wayne Prepare for Battle in Tour Trailer

Drake Vs. Lil Wayne

Drake and Lil Wayne are turning the stage into a battlefield on their upcoming “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” tour. In a trailer created by Capcom, the YMCMB warriors transform into animated video game characters Sage (Weezy) and Protégé (Drizzy) as they face off in an “epic tournament.”

Their 31-city battle royale kicks off August 8 in Buffalo, New York, and will touch down in Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, and L.A.

“Since, thank God we’ve been so successful, [we'll just be] going back and forth with our hits and getting the crowd to go crazy, then just finally hittin’ the stage together,” Wayne told MTV News. “It’s a battle type thing.”

Watch them prepare for the main event.

Drake and Chris Brown Join Forces in ESPYS Skit

Chris Brown, Blake Griffin, and Drake

Drake and Chris Brown proved that their beef is in the past by appearing together in a hilarious skit at the 2014 ESPYS on Wednesday.

After his friendship with Blake Griffin goes awry, Drake and the NBA All-Star go all out to prank each other. When he goes to have his appendix removed, Drake thinks it’s bad enough that Blake is the surgeon, but instead Breezy shows up to operate on him.

“YOLO, motherfucker,” he says while holding some sharp tools and looking down at Drizzy on the operating table.

Following the skit, Chris made a live appearance at the awards, introducing himself as “America’s sweetheart.”

Just a few days ago, the former rivals were spotted in the studio together.

Chris Brown and Drake Unite in the Studio

Drake and Chris Brown

Chris Brown and Drake have officially left the beef behind. The superstars were spotted in an L.A. studio last night, possibly cooking up a new collaboration. Kosine, one half of production duo Da Internz, posted a photo of Drizzy and Breezy side by side listening to music.

“Ay @ericbellinger should we give these niggaz more glow or nah? #harvestseason #KINGSONLY,” tweeted Kosine.

They’ve come a long way since their infamous brawl at a New York City nightclub two years ago. Chris and his bodyguard were injured during the melee, which allegedly erupted over Rihanna.

Their pal Big Sean was happy to see them make peace. “Glad to see it,” he tweeted.

There were rumors that the two had settled their differences. Last month, Chris posted a video of himself freestyling to Drake’s “0 to 100.”

Chris’ on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche also sat in on their recording session.

“All in the club with Hollywood’s finest / I’m ’bout to take Katy Perry to King of Diamonds,” spits the “Dark Horse” hitmaker, who will release his album The Hustle Continues in September.

Listen to his trippy take on the street anthem.
