Chris Brown Talks Jail, Lean Addiction, Rihanna, & Drake with Ebro

Chris Brown

Chris Brown stopped by Hot 97′s “Ebro in the Morning” on Friday for an in-depth interview. The “Loyal” singer, who recently settled his lawsuits including the one in D.C., opened up about everything from his past with Rihanna to squashing his beef with Drake to his time in jail.

During his sit-down with Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez, Breezy admitted that he was unsure where his career would take him after jail. “Once you do that, it kinda makes you mature faster and see what’s really important and what your focus is and what you gotta do in your career,” he said.

It was Drake’s camp who initially reached out about the ESPYS skit. So far, Nicki’s single “Only” is the only collaboration the two have recorded. When asked if there will be more he said, “Hopefully. They gotta cut the check.”

The most Chris charges for a feature is $250,000, and he demands a cut of the publishing. “If I’ma give you a No. 1, I need to capitalize off it as well,” he said.

He claimed that he lost $20 million in endorsements due to his bad reputation, but said that he makes 50 percent of all sales off his album.

He and Trey Songz are gearing up to launch their joint tour. The tour does not have a title, but he has been considering “One Night Stand” and “The Morning After” as potential names for the two-hour show.

He also revealed that he was addicted to lean (“the hood cocktail”) and found it impairing his work. “I was turning up. I was off the syrup and Xanax,” he said. “It wasn’t conducive to me. I was falling asleep on video sets, I was cussing people out randomly, I was doing crazy stuff.”

Through his trials and tribulations, he’s learned to be comfortable in his own skin. “I don’t have to prove myself,” said Chris. “I’m comfortable being a singing, dancing, painting, great guy. I don’t have to be tough.”

Plus, hear what he had to say about his girlfriend of four-and-a-half years Karrueche Tran, battling Usher in a dance-off, and what he fears most.

Drake and his mother

Drake left the drama behind in D.C. and returned home to Toronto to celebrate his 28th birthday. October’s Very Own put on his finest tuxedo and joined his friends and family at an intimate dinner in his honor at Bent restaurant.

Guests dressed up and dined on Asian fusion cuisine prepared by Chef Susur Lee including tuna and watermelon ceviche, duck confit, and curry-marinated rack of lamb.

The birthday boy toasted the occasion with his mother (“Sandra’s son,” he wrote) and OVO crew members including Noah “40″ Shebib, OB OBrien, and his manager Oliver El-Khatib.

He received a black-and-gold cake adorned with a chandelier and OVO owl, and was presented with a Hood Grammy of his own for “Best Basketball Player of the Year.”

“Good to be home,” said Drizzy, who gifted his fans with three new songs over the weekend.

Drake Angrily Storms Into Strip Club, Drops Stacks of Cash

Drake

Drake’s birthday bash ended on a strange note. The “6 God” was celebrating his 28th birthday at Stadium Club in Washington, D.C. on late Saturday/early Sunday morning. According to TMZ, who obtained the video, Drake rushed back into the strip club after leaving and looked like he was ready to fight.

He can be seen holding stacks of cash before making a bee line for the door. A furious Drizzy pushes a security guard out of the way before entering.

While it’s unclear what exactly happened, eyewitnesses say they saw someone punch a member of Drake’s crew, which may have set him off.

Some of the cash fell to the floor, but a member of Drake’s entourage can be seen collecting it.

Just hours earlier, Drake gifted his fans with three new songs—“6 God,” “Heat of the Moment,” and “How Bout Now.”

Watch Drizzy’s heated moment below.
