Behind the Video: Drake – ‘HYFR’

You’ve seen the video, now Drake takes you behind the scenes of “HYFR (Hell Ya Fuckin’ Right).” Drizzy throws himself a second Bar Mitzvah in the celebratory clip, which was shot in Miami with his industry family including Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Trey Songz.

“I’m a proud young Jewish boy so when I had a Bar Mitzvah back in the day, my mom didn’t really have that much money and we did it in a basement of an Italian restaurant,” he said. “I told myself that if I ever got rich, I’d throw myself a re-Bar Mitzvah.”

Video: Drake f/ Rihanna – ‘Take Care’

Rihanna and Drake

Drake drops the long-awaited video for “Take Care.” The Canadian star cozies up to Rihanna in the abstract clip directed by Yoann Lemoine.

“It had to go through a process—I shot it with a director who’s incredible and we were just very specific about it,” Drake told Capital FM. “It’s a big record and a lot of footage. It’s very artistic very abstract video—something that I wasn’t used to. I’m usually sued to a very straight forward concept so I’m really excited for people to see it because it’s actually just something beautiful to look at.”

As a token of her appreciation, Rita gave Drake her grandfather’s ring, which he wears all the time. “One of the greatest gifts I ever received in my whole life—I wear it every day—is this ring right here,” said Drizzy. “They tried to talk about this ring the other day and say I got married to somebody, which I didn’t. Rita actually gave me this ring. We’re dear friends.”
