Video: Skylar Grey f/ Eminem – ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’

Eminem and Skylar Grey

Skylar Grey is good at being bad in the naughty video for “C’mon Let Me Ride” featuring Eminem. The singer-songwriter sheds her dark image and shows a sexier side in the provocative clip, which was shot at a trailer park in Michigan. Skylar works up a sweat as a scantily-clad lumberjack, while Slim Shady makes a comical cameo.

“I can be really goofy and I know that a lot of people think I’m just dark and sad and melancholy all the time, but that’s just one huge part of me,” explained the Grammy-nominated Skylar. “I’m also really silly and I have a really dirty mind. I can’t help it. It just goes there.”

The video also carries a deeper message. “I’m kinda poking fun at the overly sexualized aspects of today’s culture and music and everything.”

“C’mon Let Me Ride” is the first single off Skylar’s KIDinaKORNER/Interscope debut Don’t Look Down. Eminem will executive produce the project, which is due next spring.

Skylar Grey and Eminem

Skylar Grey swings through a Detroit-area trailer park in the video for “C’mon Let Me Ride,” the first single from her upcoming debut Don’t Look Down. The singer-songwriter is joined by her co-star Eminem and some of the residents, who introduce themselves and cook up a squirrel on the grill.

“Why does everyone think I’m from a fu**ing trailer park? Why can’t I not break that stereotype?” laughs Em. “I’ve lived in them, many of them, for years. But that doesn’t mean I’m from a trailer park.”

The full video will premiere on December 11. Go behind the scenes below.

Video: 50 Cent f/ Eminem & Adam Levine – ‘My Life’

50 Cent

50 Cent is on the run in the action-packed video for “My Life,” the new single off his fifth album Street King Immortal. The hip-hop titan and his mentor Eminem play fugitives, running from the law as helicopters chase them. The Rich Lee-directed clip, which co-stars Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, was inspired by life in the spotlight. Super middleweight boxing contender Andre Dirrell also makes a cameo.

“The video is kind of abstract; it’s kind of metaphoric in a sense, like the paranoia of feeling like we’re being chased,” Eminem told MTV News on set in Detroit last month. “Whether it’s true or not, it’s kind of how we feel. It’s kind of a metaphor for us running for our lives. Personal lives and from fame, everything that goes with the game.”

Street King Immortal is due February 26.
