New Music: Eve – ‘She Bad Bad’

She Bad Bad

Make way for E-V-E. Following the return of Missy Elliott last month, Eve makes her long-awaited comeback with “She Bad Bad,” the first offering from her fourth album Lip Lock. Over a chanting beat produced by JukeBox (“Whip My Hair”), the Scorpion delivers stinging verses about her re-entry into the game and her competitors.

“Now I’m back, forget about them other chicks, man, you won’t miss them/ Yeah, E-V-E hungry like a lion … Your gimmick make me sicki/ What you sellin’, I ain’t buyin’,” she raps.

After announcing her departure from Interscope Records in 2010, the Philly MC has launched her own label Blondie Rockwell Inc. Her first album in over a decade is due next year.

“I wanted to really take what people loved of me and fell in love with in the beginning, with the Ruff Ryders and all of them, and combine it with where I am now,” she told TIME of the follow-up to 2002’s Eve-Olution.

Is Eve still a force to be reckoned with? Listen and weigh in below.

New Music: Eve – ‘She Bad Bad’ [Snippet]

She Bad Bad

A black leather bra and skintight pants; Eve is leaving very little to the imagination on the cover of her comeback single “She Bad Bad.” The rapper-actress looks down pensively in the photo—her signature paw print chest tattoos in full view. She has been teasing fans with lyrics on Twitter.

“Lips and eyes staring at ‘em/ Mesmerized, gotta have it,” she raps. “When they see me coming at ‘em/ Heels and hips they wanna grab ‘em.”

This summer, the 33-year-old Philly MC turned things up at the Rock the Bells Festival and ESSENCE Music Festival in New Orleans. Though she’s been laying low for over a decade, she’s finally ready to release her long-awaited fourth album Lip Lock.

“I wanted to really take what people loved of me and fell in love with in the beginning, with the Ruff Ryders and all of them, and combine it with where I am now,” she told TIME.

E-V-E has also collaborated with Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim on a “fun, party record” for Missy’s upcoming album.

UPDATE: Listen to a 30-second snippet of “She Bad Bad” below. The song, produced by JukeBox (“Whip My Hair”), will be released to digital retailers tomorrow via Blondie Rockwell, Inc.
