Tina Knowles: Beyoncé and Jay Z’s Relationship Is ‘Perfect’

Tina Knowles

Beyoncé and Jay Z have remained silent about their relationship status, but one family member is putting an end to the breakup rumors.

TMZ caught up with Bey’s mother Tina Knowles while she was leaving lunch with Kelly Rowland in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

When asked whether her daughter and son-in-law were headed for divorce, she took the opportunity to set the record straight.

“Everything’s perfect!” said Knowles, adding that the Carters’ relationship is “very good.”

She also brushed off the naysayers. “Haters gon’ be haters, and there’s nothing we can do about that.”

In recent weeks, Beyoncé and Jay Z have been spotted together at the go-kart track, a restaurant opening, and on stage during their “On the Run Tour,” which will hit Paris on September 12 and 13.

Hear Mama T go on the record.

Beyoncé and Jay Z Race Go Karts at Sweet 16 Birthday Party

Beyoncé

Beyoncé and Jay Z have a need for speed. In between dates on their tour earlier this month, the superstar couple rented out indoor go-kart center K1 Speed to celebrate Jay Z’s niece Teanna’s 16th birthday.

Queen Bey put on her helmet and seatbelt and got behind the wheel of a red go kart, while Jay held Blue Ivy’s hand and walked around the raceway.

After crossing the finish line, a barefoot Bey took her 1st place position on the podium and showed off her “flawless” abs. The birthday girl threw up the Roc before being presented with a cake that said “Happy Sweet 16 TT.”

The Carters wrapped the U.S. leg of their “On the Run Tour” earlier this month and will head to Paris on September 12 and 13. The concerts will be taped for an HBO special to air on September 20.

Rap-Up TV: DJ Mustard Talks ‘10 Summers,’ Rihanna Ballad, & Jay Z

On Monday, DJ Mustard dropped his star-studded debut 10 Summers for free via Google Play. Prior to its release, the 24-year-old beatmaker teamed up with Brisk Bodega to preview the album for tastemakers at a listening event in L.A.

The project, which he describes as a “good classic West Coast album,” features appearances from Big Sean, Lil Wayne, YG, Lil Boosie, 2 Chainz, and more.

As the producer behind some of the West Coast’s biggest hits including Tyga’s “Rack City,” YG’s “My Hitta,” and Kid Ink’s “Show Me,” Mustard has been compared to the legendary Dr. Dre.

“That’s a big comparison,” he told Rap-Up TV. “I’m just happy that they’re comparing me to somebody that’s a billionaire. I can’t really complain.”

Now Mustard is expanding his résumé by producing for superstars including Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna.

“I got a song on her album already, but I’m tryna get some more,” he said. “It’s a ballad. It’s not like anything you’ve ever heard from me before. Some new shit. New sound. Might have me here for the next 30 [summers].”

Signed to Roc Nation, the in-demand hitmaker has also sent four beats to his boss Jay Z, and is confident a collaboration will happen. “We got a relationship, so I’m sure that’s coming regardless,” he said.

So where does he see himself a year from now? “Probably like $15 million up. I’m almost there. I think a year from now I should have $15 million. I’ll be cool.”

Bridget Kelly Reflects on Touring with Jay Z in ‘The Road to Independence’ [Episode 1]

Jay Z and Bridget Kelly

Bridget Kelly keeps it real in the first episode of her “Road to Independence” docu-series, premiering on Rap-Up.com. After teasing with a trailer earlier this month, the former Roc Nation songstress reflects on the past as she gears up for the release of her debut All or Nothing.

Bridget, who is now independent, toured with Jay Z on his “Blueprint 3″ tour in 2009-2010.

“Being on the road with Jay was one of the most exciting points of my life, my entire life,” she said. “When those kinds of things happen prematurely before you really have a chance to know just how monumental they are, sometimes you lose yourself in it.”

But she was able to get through trying times with help from her team and mother. “Just to have them by my side is really what kept me afloat.”

She got emotional while describing the experience. “I really had no idea what to expect from the next couple years or even the next phase,” she said. “I didn’t know what life was going to hand to me. I look back at how much of myself I gave to that process and how little in the grand scheme of things it seemed to give back to me.”

Watch Bridget bare her soul and stay tuned for Episode 2 to see her take on her next challenge, the Nike Marathon.
