Jay-Z played hype man to Drake, introducing him to his hometown crowd in Toronto during Jay’s show at the Air Canada Centre on Halloween. “I’m kinda like nervous/excited,” Drizzy, who performed “Successful,” told Rap-Up.com about his first time back on stage since undergoing surgery.

A black-and-white clip of “Empire State of Mind” was aired in place of a postponed performance from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys during Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday (Oct. 28). Maybe it was for the best because the Yankees lost. The duo will perform the song at Yankee Stadium tomorrow.

Just last week Robin Thicke tweeted that he was in the lab with Jay-Z and now we have a snippet of their joint effort. “Meiplé (Me I Play)” features a rap from Hov, who surprisingly name-checks his black Brigitte Bardot wife Beyoncé. Ooh la la!

The song, along with collabos with Snoop Dogg, Estelle, Kid Cudi, and Jazmine Sullivan, can be found on Thicke’s new album Sex Therapy, due December 8.
