Pharrell Hits the Studio with Justin Bieber, Astro

Pharrell and Justin Bieber

Pharrell is taking a new generation of young stars under his wing. The Neptunes super-producer hit the studio with Justin Bieber in Miami to work on his upcoming album Believe over the weekend. While in town, the Biebs also logged studio time with Timbaland and went skateboarding with Lil Wayne.

In addition to the teen idol, Skateboard P cooked up some beats for former “X Factor” contestant and rapper Astro aka the Astronomical Kid, who recently inked a deal with Epic Records. Judging from the wheel in Astro’s hand, it looks like they also found time to play Mario Kart.

Add them to Pharrell’s growing list of recent collaborators including Ne-Yo, Wiz Khalifa, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. Who gon’ stop him, huh?

Lil Wayne gave Justin Bieber some skating tips when he caught up with him in Miami. With skateboard in hand, the teen sensation hit the ramp with the Young Money chief in between recording his upcoming album Believe.

“Good time in the studio last night,” tweeted the Biebs. “Back at it tonight. oh yeah…and big bro came thru.”

While he didn’t say if he and Weezy had collaborated, Timbaland has been in the studio with the pop idol. “yo @justinbieber played me some of his joints last nite, craziee. the dude is super talented & our work ethics are just alike. #hitsondeck,” tweeted Timbo.

Drake and Kanye West are also among the contributors to Bieber’s sophomore album, due later this year.

Will.i.am Produces ‘Bigger Than Huge’ Song for Justin Bieber

Will.i.am’s gotta feeling about his collaboration with Justin Bieber. The Black Eyed Peas frontman hit the studio this week to craft some hits for the teen idol’s upcoming album Believe.

“I gotta feeling this song is [gonna] be bigger than huge,” tweeted will, comparing it to another hit he produced for Bieber’s mentor Usher. “Last time I felt this way about a song is after I wrote and produced ‘o.m.g’…I can’t stop listening it.”

In addition to the platinum Pea, the Biebs has set aside some time to record with his fellow Canadian Drake. Kanye West is also expected to add his touch to the project.

‘X Factor’ Finale Performances: 50 Cent, Leona Lewis, Justin Bieber, & Pitbull

50 Cent invaded Thursday’s “X Factor” finale with a super-sized performance. First up, the G-Unit general debuted “Wait Until Tonight,” a cut off his mixtape The Big 10, live for the first time. He also took it back, linking up with eliminated contestant Astro for “In Da Club” as the show’s judges and members of the L.A. Lakers danced onstage.

British “X Factor” champ Leona Lewis wowed with her cover of Snow Patrol’s “Run,” Pitbull got the party started with “International Love” and “Give Me Everything” with Ne-Yo, and Justin Bieber spread some holiday cheer with Stevie Wonder.

Stevie Wonder may be a legend, but it was Justin Bieber who had all the girls screaming at Stevie’s 16th Annual House Full of Toys benefit concert on Saturday night. The 17-year-old pop star joined the musical genius on the holiday classic “Someday at Christmas” at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Following their duet, Justin performed acoustic versions of his Christmas songs including “Mistletoe” and the Chris Brown-penned “Christmas Eve,” plus his hit single “Baby.”

“So 4 years ago I sang this song in my hometown. now 4 years later I sang it 2nite with STEVIE WONDER! #NEVERSAYNEVER,” tweeted Biebs following the momentous evening.

Drake not only shared the stage with Lil Wayne and Tyga, he also surprised the audience by bringing out Justin Bieber at Friday night’s Cali Christmas concert.
