Lorde and Kanye West

A year after releasing her platinum debut Pure Heroine, Lorde takes on a new job as curator of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 soundtrack. Due November 17, the star-studded collection features contributions from Ariana Grande, Pusha T, Q-Tip, Miguel, Tinashe, Grace Jones, and more.

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter also taps Kanye West to “rework” her single “Yellow Flicker Beat,” describing the new version as “the quieter, slinkier side of the coin.”

Video: Big Sean f/ E-40 – ‘I Don’t F**k With You’

Big Sean

Touchdown. Big Sean plays the field in the cinematic video for his Kanye West and DJ Mustard-produced anthem “I Don’t Fuck With You” featuring E-40.

The G.O.O.D. Music MVP stars as the quarterback of his high school football team, the Lions, in the Lawrence Lamont-directed clip, which was shot at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif. Against the odds, Sean makes a last-minute attempt to save his team from losing the game and comes away with a huge win.

There are plenty of cameos too from Mustard, E-40, Power 106′s Big Boy, Teyana Taylor, and Kanye, who stars as the team coach. Plus, peep the Naya Rivera look-alike, who flashes her boobs.

In between his collaborations with Calvin Harris and girlfriend Ariana Grande, Sean has been in the studio with Chris Brown, Kanye, and more working on his third album, and hopes to release it by the end of the year.

“You guys might be getting it for a stocking stuffer, who knows?” he recently told Carson Daly.

Watch Sean lead his team to victory.

Kanye West, Nas, Diddy, & Madonna Attend Alicia Keys’ Black Ball

Alicia Keys and Nas

The stars put on their finest and stepped out to Alicia Keys’ 11th Annual Black Ball at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Thursday. A pregnant Alicia, whose second child is due in December, was the belle of the ball as she hosted the fundraiser alongside her husband Swizz Beatz and Diddy.

Swizz, Diddy, and Kanye West took the stage to honor Givenchy’s artistic director Riccardo Tisci, while Nas, Angel Haze, and David Byrne performed.

“We’re here to roll up our sleeves for the children and families living with HIV in India and Africa,” said Puff. “We need the money!”

Alicia, Swizz, and Diddy performed a mash-up of Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out” and “Mo Money Mo Problems,” Angel Haze covered OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars,” and Nas put the crowd in a New York state of mind.

Madonna, Aretha Franklin, and Russell Simmons also showed up to support Keep a Child Alive, which has raised over $22.6 million for children and families affected by HIV.

New Music: Theophilus London f/ Kanye West – ‘Can’t Stop’

Kanye West and Theophilus London

When he’s not working on his own album, Kanye West has been overseeing projects for Tyga, French Montana, and Theophilus London. Yeezus serves as executive producer of the latter’s new album Vibes and guests on the blissful “Can’t Stop.” He delivers a glorious verse over the soulful production, which is reminiscent of his Dark Twisted days.

“It’s alright, but it ain’t Ralph though / And unless your money talkin’, keep your mouth closed,” raps ‘Ye. “We smokin’ indo outdoor in Palo Alto / If this party ain’t got hoes, my intro’s my outro.”

“The goal was to get back to a happy place in my life,” London told The FADER of Vibes. “I went through some dark times. On this album, I was chasing demons and sacrificing a lot. I’m just excited that I could make a piece of work that I’m happy about, that my great aunt was spiritually here for me to help me finish writing this album.”

In addition to getting the Yeezus co-sign, London has tapped fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld to shoot the artwork for the album, which drops November 4.

Big Sean Teams with Kanye West in ‘IDFWU’ Video

Big Sean

Big Sean touched down at College of the Canyons football field in Santa Clarita, Calif. on Sunday to shoot a video for his Kanye West and DJ Mustard-produced single “I Don’t Fuck With You.” MTV News was on set as the Detroit rapper suited up in his uniform and took the field as the team quarterback.

His collaborator E-40 served as football commentator and DJ Mustard played Sean’s teammate. Even his G.O.O.D. Music mentor Kanye West worked the sidelines as coach.

“Obviously football plays a part of it. I’m the star quarterback, one team against another team,” said Sean.

The song, rumored to be inspired by his ex Naya Rivera, has became an anthem. “Everybody got people they don’t mess with. Soon as it came out, tons of people were relating to it,” said Sean.

Go behind the scenes of the football-themed clip below.
