Kanye and Kim’s Vogue Cover Spawns Spoofs

James Franco and Seth Rogen

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s Vogue cover has garnered plenty of opinions and is even spawning some hilarious spoofs.

After their “Bound 2″ video parody, actors James Franco and Seth Rogen had some fun mocking Kimye’s April 2014 cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz. Franco plasters his face onto ‘Ye’s body and puts his arms around Rogen, who wears Kim’s Lanvin gown.

“It had to be done,” tweeted Rogen, while Franco responded, “Seth! Love you, dog!”

Everyone’s favorite Muppets, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy aka Kermiggy, have also created their own version of the famous photo. Piggy wears a wedding dress while Kermie holds his bride from behind. Instead of #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple, the cover reads #UniversesMostTalkedAboutCouple.

“Kermiggy is honored to be on the cover of Vague as the #UniversesMostTalkedAboutCouple! (But who’s surprised?)” tweeted Piggy.

Kimye’s cover has received a mixed response on social media. In response to the criticism, Anna Wintour released a statement.

“There’s barely a strand of the modern media that the Kardashian Wests haven’t been able to master, and for good reason: Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that,” said the magazine’s editor-in-chief.
