Following events in London with Robin Thicke and New York with Justin Timberlake, GQ celebrated its “Men of the Year” issue with another star-studded bash in L.A. on Tuesday night. Music and Hollywood’s biggest stars toasted this year’s “Men of the Year” including Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, and Pharrell.

The “Get Lucky” hitmaker brought his wife Helen Lasichanh and mingled with fellow honorees Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, and Andy Samberg.

On the red carpet, Pharrell was asked what makes a perfect gentleman. “Honesty, being kind, being thoughtful, just in terms of being considerate,” said the super-producer, who has a four-year-old son named Rocket. “And trusting of gut, instinct is very important.”

Big Sean and Kid Cudi Perform ‘First Chain’ on ‘Fallon’

Kid Cudi and Big Sean

It was a G.O.O.D. Music reunion when Big Sean teamed up with Kid Cudi on Friday’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Fresh off “The Cud Life” tour, the Detroit MC performed “First Chain” with his former labelmate and The Roots.

Rocking a Jesus piece and Timberlands, Sean reflected on his humble beginnings on the autobiographical record off his sophomore album Hall of Fame, while Cudi did his silly dance and laid down some harmonies.

While they may no longer be on the same label, they will always remain friends. “It just goes to show that it’s deeper than an imprint on a piece of paper,” Sean told Rap-Up TV. “We’re brothers and sometimes business may not always work out, but it’s deeper than that.”

See them stunt on late night.

Rap-Up TV: Big Sean Gets ‘Raunchy’ with Nicki Minaj on ‘Milf’

With a week to go until Hall of Fame arrives, Big Sean shared some insight into two of the biggest collaborations on his sophomore album, “First Chain” with Nas and Kid Cudi and “Milf” featuring Nicki Minaj and Juicy J.

“‘Milf’ is definitely raunchy, but it’s real because it’s conceptual,” the Detroit MC told Rap-Up TV. “It’s for like if you ever dated a girl who has a kid or been that kid where your mom had boyfriends… It’s something fun, but that’s a real subject in society, kids hating who their mom dates. It was cool to formulate that into a song. I’ve never heard that as a rap song.”

Nicki Minaj and Juicy J play characters on Da Internz-produced banger. “Working with Nicki was cool, it was easy. Me and her friends and stuff, so it wasn’t complicated,” said Sean, who previously worked with the Young Money diva on “Dance (A$$).”

Despite his departure from G.O.O.D. Music, Kid Cudi professed his loyalty to the label on “First Chain.” “[Cudi] said, make sure to say, ‘G.O.O.D. Music forever.’ And I thought that was cool and I think that’s gonna be a cool moment for the fans because it just goes to show that it’s deeper than an imprint on a piece of paper. We’re brothers and sometimes business may not always work out, but it’s deeper than that.”

No matter what the future holds, Sean will always rep for G.O.O.D. Music. “No matter what I do career-wise, I’ma always be G.O.O.D. Music no matter what, whether I start my own dynasty, whatever.”
