New Music: Ludacris – ‘Tom Ford (Freestyle)’

As he gears up for his Burning Bridges EP in December, Ludacris celebrates Throwback Thursday with his latest “LudaVerses” joint. Following his freestyles to Pusha T, 2 Chainz, and ILoveMakonnen, Luda goes in over Jay Z’s Timbaland-produced single “Tom Ford.”

“Hollywood, hollywood ni**a, but still rappin’ like I just got out the ‘hood, ni**a,” spits the rapper-actor.

His album Ludaversal arrives March 31, the same day Fast & Furious 7 opens in theaters. He has also collaborated with Miguel on his new single “Good Lovin,” produced by Da Internz.

New Music: Ludacris – ‘Numbers On the Boards (Freestyle)’

In honor of Throwback Thursday, Ludacris spits a freestyle over Pusha T’s 2013 single “Numbers on the Boards” as part of his ongoing “LudaVerses” series. The DTP chief, who previously remixed 2 Chainz’ “Crib in My Closet” and ILoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday,” schools the competition while declaring his OG status.

“Who would’ve thought that 10 years later I’d be goin’ just as hard as I was goin’ back then?” he boasts.

Expect even more freestyles as he gears up for his Burning Bridges EP in December followed by his album Ludaversal on March 31.

New Music: Ludacris – ‘Crib in My Closet (Freestyle)’

For this week’s LudaVerses installment, Ludacris serves up an explosive remix to former DTP member 2 Chainz’ “Crib in My Closet.” The Atlanta rapper spazzes out on the Metro Boomin and 808 Mafia-produced track, which appears on 2 Chainz’ EP Freebase.

“I’ma boss, I could never be nothing less / So gimme brain, gimme brain / Women call me nutty professor,” he boasts.

Luda will release his EP Burning Bridges in December followed by his album Ludaversal on March 31.

Ludacris is just getting warmed up. After remixing Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Ni**a” and RiFF RAFF’s “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz,” Luda goes up on a freestyle to ILoveMakonnen’s Drake-assisted single “Tuesday.”

The DTP boss addresses rumors that he’s broke (“Kill yourself if you believe that”), boasts about his spot on Forbes’ Cash Kings list, and takes a few shots (“Instead of making up these lies, why don’t ya’ll make some better music”).

He is readying an EP called Burning Bridges for December and has revealed a March 31 release date for his long-awaited album Ludaversal.

No flex zone. Yo Gotti rounds up Lil Wayne and Ludacris for the remix to “Errrbody.” Weezy reminds us that he doesn’t have an Instagram account before Luda calls out his stuntin’ peers (“Everyday ya’ll suck, need a pat on the back till ya’ll burp”) and skirt-wearing rappers.

“I think this is a classic Lil Wayne verse,” the Memphis MC told Noisey, adding, “Luda’s one of the artists I respect that I’d never worked with on a record. Plus, he’s also one of the artists that I never heard a wack verse from.”

Gotti’s seventh album The Art of Hustle is due later this year.

He also considers whether he should opt out of his Def Jam deal. “Two albums left, Flavor Flav, time to clock out.”

“Women used to give me no play, but nowadays they always whorin’ / Givin’ me super dome like I’m playin’ for New Orleans,” he boasts.
