Mariah Carey Brings Texas Twang to ‘American Dad’

Mariah on American Dad

Mariah Carey is trading her New York accent for a Southern twang. The pop diva plays a character far from her self on Fox’s animated series “American Dad.”

In the episode, which airs Sunday at 9:30 p.m., Mariah stars as a Texas gal named Laura, who invites Stan to join her and her husband’s Thanksgiving football tailgate after his plans go awry.

On December 4, Mariah will celebrate the holidays by performing on NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” alongside fellow divas Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, and Ariana Grande.

Mariah Carey Brings the Laughs with Impromptu Performance

Mariah Carey

We know Mariah Carey can sing, but she can also make us laugh. On Tuesday’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the pop diva surprised her fans with a live performance of her new single “The Art of Letting Go.” She has now posted additional footage from the moment, in which she adds her own ad libs to “Fly Like a Bird” and “Letting Go.”

While singing, Mimi notices a fan filming on their iPhone and tells them to turn it down (“And that was my bad side as well”), curses out the cameraman, and even jokes about her previous marriage.

“And I wore them dresses and I did that shit that I hated and hated,” she sings to cheers from her Lambs.

Watch Mariah share laughs with the Lambily.

Mariah Carey Goes Glam at Out100 Gala

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey stepped out to honor the most compelling gay people of the year at Out magazine’s Out100 gala in New York on Thursday night. The pop diva was ravishing in a busty black dress, with fan in hand, as she accepted the Artist of the Year award on behalf of The Butler director Lee Daniels (Mariah also starred in the film).

She caught up with Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry at the event, but before heading out, posed for an Instagram pic with her own little diva Monroe.

The singer posted an open letter to her Lambs after an unfinished version of her single “The Art of Letting Go” was released on Facebook.

“A mistake was made by a brand new sound engineer whose only task was to press the space bar and upload the song to Facebook,” said Mariah.

The correct mastered version was sent to iTunes. She posted both versions on Facebook and asked her fans if they could hear the difference.

“Even if the differences may seem slight to you, I had put time, effort and emotions into ‘The Art of Letting Go’ and the real mix is how I intended for you to hear the song,” said Mimi.

She will celebrate the holiday season by performing on the upcoming Christmas specials “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” (12/4) and “Michael Bublé’s 3rd Annual Christmas Special” (12/18).

Mariah Carey Surprises Super Fans on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

Mariah Carey

Fresh off the debut of her new single “The Art of Letting Go,” Mariah Carey stopped by “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday. The Grammy-winning songbird was on her best diva behavior during the hilarious chat.

Wearing gloves and holding a fan in one hand (“Just in case I felt a bad angle coming along”), she spoke about premiering her new single to her 14 million fans on Facebook. Dem Babies’ mother also gushed about her eight puppies with names like Squeaky Beans and the Good Reverend Pow Jackson, and injuring her shoulder on set of her music video.

“We’re in a Phantom, we’re running lights and stuff. And he’s gangsta, my driver,” said Mariah while recalling her drive to the hospital.

Jimmy also invited a bunch of Mariah’s super fans (“Lambs”) to hear her new song, and then surprised them with a live performance from the singer herself.

“Am I dying? Are we dead?” asked one fan when Mariah entered the room.

Check out their priceless reactions.

New Music: Mariah Carey – ‘The Art of Letting Go’

The Art of Letting Go

The wait is over. After overcoming a painful injury, Mariah Carey soars once again with her new single “The Art of Letting Go,” which also serves as the title track to her upcoming album. The stirring ballad, produced by Rodney Jerkins, debuted on Monday to her 14 million Facebook fans.

“This is such a personal record to me,” said the pop diva. “I wrote the lyrics so that anyone and everyone could relate to them and hopefully release anything that they need to let go of that’s holding them back or bringing them down. Thank you for sharing this experience with me!”

“The Art of Letting Go” serves as the follow-up to the Miguel-assisted hit “#Beautiful,” which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Mariah has been in the studio with Nas, Wale, Hit-Boy, Mike WiLL Made-It, and her manager Jermaine Dupri working on her first album since 2009’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

Single Cover: Mariah Carey – ‘The Art of Letting Go’

The Art of Letting Go

With two weeks to go until its release, Mariah Carey has unveiled the sizzling cover art for her new single “The Art of Letting Go,” which also serves as the title track to her upcoming album. Roc and Roe’s hot mama flaunts her bikini body while sitting on the beach at sunset.

The emotional song, produced by Rodney Jerkins, will premiere on Facebook on November 11.

“There’s an emotion to it, as you listen to the song start to finish, that you can tell that it’s me,” Mariah told CNN. “It’s about letting go of maybe something that’s not right for you. But you just don’t know how to make that final move and let go of it. Like it’s not easy, it’s something that you have to learn how to do, and I think we’re all still learning.”

Watch Mariah hit the studio with Jerkins and Jermaine Dupri while making the track.
