Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Dress as Janet and Michael Jackson for Halloween

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy

Beyoncé took it back to 1989 and paid homage to Janet Jackson with her Halloween costume. The pop superstar rocked the outfit from Janet’s Rhythm Nation 1814 era, complete with a key earring, black gloves, jacket, and hat. She was spotted backstage with Angela Yee’s nephew (pictured) at Powerhouse while Jay Z made a surprise appearance.

Her daughter Blue Ivy also saluted pop’s first family by dressing as Michael Jackson, donning a glittery red jacket, hat, and aviator shades like the King of Pop.

Not to be left out, Jay Z also got in the Halloween spirit, wearing a Jason mask while joining Jeezy on stage at Powerhouse.

Last year, Bey dressed as Spider-Woman and celebrated Halloween while on her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” She has shared a new video from the festivities.

During “GMA” this morning, Robin Roberts and Terry Crews channeled their inner Beyoncé and Jay Z, dressing up as the famous couple from their “On the Run Tour.”

New Music: Queen & Michael Jackson – ‘There Must Be More to Life Than This’

Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury

The King and Queen come together on one posthumous collaboration. Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson duet on the powerful ballad “There Must Be More to Life Than This,” which was written by Mercury during sessions for Queen’s 1981 album, Hot Space.

Mercury visited MJ in L.A. where he recorded Jackson singing the song for an unfinished version. Queen revived the track during sessions for 1984′s The Works, but it was never finished. A year later, a solo version surfaced on Mercury’s debut solo album, 1985′s Mr. Bad Guy.

The new production, which was remixed by William Orbit, mixes Queen’s original backing track with Mercury and Jackson’s distinct vocals.

It will appear on the two-CD set Queen Forever, due November 11.

Video: Michael Jackson – ‘A Place With No Name’

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson would have turned 55 this month. But his legacy continues to live on in the short film for “A Place With No Name,” the latest single off his posthumous album Xscape, which premiered on Twitter and was shown on the Jumbotron in Times Square on Wednesday evening.

In the beautifully-shot clip, directed by Samuel Bayer (Nirvana, Rolling Stones), a man is led to a magical place by a mysterious woman. The video also includes outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage of MJ shot during the production of his “In the Closet” short film, which has been kept in the vault since 1992.

The Dr. Freeze-produced song, which samples America’s 1972 classic “A Horse With No Name,” was originally recorded in 1998 at Record Plant Recording Studio. Stargate contributed additional production.

All hail the King of Pop.
