It’s 3 a.m. and Miguel can’t sleep. With dirty thoughts racing through his head and “Fresh Prince” re-runs on TV, the R&B crooner suggests some late-night lovin’ on “Can’t Sleep Together.”

“I can’t sleep/ You can’t sleep/ Let’s can’t sleep together,” he sings over the grungy beat.

The song is the second to last release in the 2013 Adult Swim Singles Program curated by the late-night cable channel.

Miguel Covers Pink’s ‘Just Like a Pill’


Miguel brought Kaleidoscope Dream to the Land Down Under. During his trip to Australia, the R&B crooner hung out with a koala at the Taronga Zoo and stopped by the “Fifi & Jules” radio show, where he performed an acoustic cover of Pink’s 2002 single “Just Like a Pill.” He read lyrics off his iPhone while a guitarist backed him up.

“Australia I love you,” tweeted Miguel.

He will return to the U.S. next month for the “Would Like a Tour?” trek with Drake and Future, which kicks off Sept. 25 in Portland, OR.

New Music: Janelle Monáe f/ Miguel – ‘PrimeTime’


Love is in the air on “PrimeTime,” Janelle Monáe’s steamy duet with Miguel. The two whisper sweet nothings to each other on the soulful number off Janelle’s upcoming album The Electric Lady.

“It’s a primetime for our love/ And heaven is bettin’ on us,” coos Janelle over the guitar-driven instrumental.

Due Sept. 10, The Electric Lady also features Prince, Solange, Erykah Badu, and Esperanza Spalding.

Janelle will embark on a North American headline tour on October 13 in Philadelphia, PA. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 23. See an itinerary below.

Big Sean, Miguel, Miley Cyrus, & Nelly Attend Teen Choice Awards

The stars stepped out to honor teen favorites in music, TV, movies, sports, and more at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on Sunday. The two-hour show was filled with tearful moments (Cory Monteith tribute), lots of twerking, and plenty of star power.

Big Sean supported his girlfriend Naya Rivera backstage after “Glee” won Best Choice TV Show Comedy, while Miguel brought his own hot date Nazanin Mandi.

Miley Cyrus showed off her legs in a short black dress while collecting her surfboards for Choice Summer Song (“We Can’t Stop”), Fashion Trendsetter, and Choice TV Scene Stealer.

Bruno Mars picked up two awards for Choice Summer Music Star and Choice R&B Artist and delivered a comical videotaped message.

Nelly rocked the stage with Florida Georgia Line while performing “Cruise (Remix),” and Choice TV Actor – Action winner LL Cool J presented with Ed Sheeran.

Other star sightings included Cher Lloyd, Demi Lovato, and Jordin Sparks.

Rap-Up TV: RaVaughn Talks Debut, Miguel Collaboration, & Love for Beyoncé

RaVaughn has assembled a dream team of collaborators for her debut. The singer-songwriter, who is signed to Ne-Yo’s Compound University/Columbia Records, sat down with Rap-Up TV to discuss her upcoming album, which features production from The-Dream, Babyface, Eric Hudson, and Jerry Wonda.

She’s also collaborated with Wale (“Better Be Good”), Fabolous (“I’m So Fu**ed Up”), Marsha Ambrosius, John Legend, and Miguel, who appears on a track called “747.”

“I feel like he’s a genius and he’s incredible,” said RaVaughn of the “Adorn” singer. “He is definitely killing the game right now.”

Ne-Yo has been very hands-on with her project and has written four songs. “He’s very supportive and gives me great criticism,” she said of her label boss.

On her wish list of collaborators is Fun. and her Columbia labelmate Beyoncé. “I want to work with Beyoncé ’cause she’s incredible,” said RaVaughn. “I just love her as an artist and as a person. We’ve watched her grow up and I feel like she’s evolved into an amazing person. I just think she’s killing the game right now.”

Miguel connects with his pal from across the pond, Jessie Ware, on the remix to his Kaleidoscope Dream hit “Adorn.” The British sensation harmonizes over the sweet love song, while Miguel’s vocals appear to remain in tact from the original.

“It was a total pleasure working with @MiguelUnlimited on his already perfect ‘Adorn’. Feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” tweeted Jessie.
