Ne-Yo Performs ‘Let Me Love You’ on ‘The View’

Ne-Yo

Ne-Yo turned the stage into a dance party when he visited “The View” on Monday. Clad in a leather vest and fedora, the R&B gentleman performed his hit single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)” off his new album R.E.D., which drops tomorrow. He showed off his fancy footwork and even brought a female fan onstage and danced with her.

Prior to his performance, he spoke with the ladies about the album’s title, which is an acronym for Realizing Every Dream. “I have very multifaceted dreams. For example, it was a dream of mine to win a Grammy one day,” said Ne-Yo. “I’ve done that three times over and I’m very grateful and happy about that.”

Better Be Good

Ne-Yo is just days away from releasing his album R.E.D., but he turns the attention to his new artist RaVaughn Brown. The soulful songstress, who is signed to his Compound Entertainment label through Columbia Records, gets a hand from Wale on her new single “Better Be Good.” On the breezy fare, the R&B newcomer demands that her man treat her well ’cause she’s the “one and only,” while Wale puts it down for his lady on his two verses.

New Music: Ne-Yo f/ Fabolous & Diddy – ‘Should Be You’

Fabolous, Ne-Yo, and Diddy

With just over a week to go until his R.E.D. album drops on November 6, Ne-Yo takes it back to the ’90s on “Should Be You.” The hip-hop-flavored throwback joint, produced by Salaam Remi, kicks off with a verse from Fabolous and features a remorseful verse from Diddy.

“It’s basically a song talking about being with one person when you know that you should be and want to be with another person,” Ne-Yo told Rap-Up TV. “As beautiful as this brand new woman is, you know in your heart that where you should be is with that one.”

New Music: Ne-Yo – ‘Forever Now’

Ne-Yo

There’s nothing worse than finding out that your ex has moved on and Ne-Yo laments over that very realization on his moody new jam “Forever Now” from his upcoming album R.E.D., available November 6.

On the uptempo number, Ne-Yo asks, “What am I gonna do with forever now?” upon finding out that his girl has a new man. “I’ll live out my life forever following you,” he cries.

In addition to “Forever Now,” Ne-Yo’s album will feature collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Tim McGraw, Diddy, and Fabolous. “This is the most balanced album that I’ve ever done,” he told Rap-Up TV. “My diehard R&B fans as well as my diehard pop fans, everybody’s gonna be able to get into this album because it is an equal balance of both genres.”

Rap-Up TV: Ne-Yo Praises Nicki Minaj, Dreams Up Kanye West and Obama Collaboration

On November 6, Ne-Yo wants you to do two things—vote and pick up his new album R.E.D. The project, an acronym for Realizing Every Dream, features the single “Let Me Love You” plus collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Tim McGraw, Diddy, and Fabolous.

The R&B gentleman has crafted hits for everyone from Beyoncé to Young Jeezy, but it’s the President who he would like to work with next.

“Obama has a pretty decent singing voice,” Ne-Yo told Rap-Up TV. “I feel like I could take that and do something with it and then we add Kanye for the controversy element and just the fact that he’s a frickin’ musical genius.”

Another person on his wish list of collaborators is Nicki Minaj. “Huge fan of Nicki Minaj,” he said. “I love the fact that she is who she is. In a day and age where everybody’s copying everything… It almost seems like individuality and originality is taboo nowadays. I dig the fact that she comes out and does what she does, and makes no apologies for it.”

The Grammy winner also shared his admiration for fellow singer-songwriters Frank Ocean (“His take on R&B is not typical”) and Taylor Swift. “Even if you’re not a country music fan, you can’t sleep on the fact that that’s just damn talent,” he said.
