Nicki Minaj

After gracing the pages of V Magazine and GQ, Nicki Minaj strikes gold on the latest issue of Billboard. The rap queen dazzles in a metallic outfit and black bangs on the cover, which reads “Nicki vs. the World.”

The 31-year-old businesswoman, who has the most Hot 100 hits of any female hip-hop artist, opens up about expanding her brand, empowering women, and what she learned from her “Flawless (Remix)” collaborator Beyoncé.

She also shares her love for the movie Captain Phillips (“I’m just obsessed with [Barkhad Abdi]“) and comedian Larry David (“I love improv and comedy. I wish I could have done something like ["Curb Your Enthusiasm"]).

When asked about fellow rap diva Iggy Azalea, Nicki gives the writer a “withering, wordless stare.” The article mentions that when an Iggy song came over the studio speaker, a member of Nicki’s team turned it off.

In addition to releasing her third album The Pinkprint on December 15, Nicki plans to produce a TV show in 2015, is eyeing her next acting role, and is launching her as-yet-unnamed record label with singer Parker Ighile and rapper Brinx.

Nicki Minaj Rules the Cover of V Magazine

Nicki Minaj

All hail Her Minajesty. Nicki Minaj holds court on the cover of V Magazine for the second time. In the colorful photos, shot by Mario Testino, the “undefeated champion of hip-hop” gets dolled up in designer threads and rules her queendom.

The leader of the Barbz rocks a red dress by Guess, vintage beret, and Jimmy Choo heels as she poses alongside a statue in her royal garden and unleashes her inner pussycat in a cutout Balmain dress and leopard-print hat, gloves, and Manolo Blahnik heels.

As she gears up for the December 15 release of her third album The Pinkprint, the rap mogul speaks about maintaining her edge. “I always push the envelope, because I’m Nicki Minaj. I have to,” she said. “No matter who I’m on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing that no one else is willing to say. Whether it’s Madonna, Britney, or Beyoncé, they always tell me, ‘Yes. Be yourself. Talk your shit.’”

She also shares her love for Versace, which she boldly wears in the photo shoot. “What I love about Versace is that it’s so rich,” she said. “Rap is a lot of showing off, and fashion is too. Versace is like, look at me, bitch. I’m here.”

Album Cover: Nicki Minaj – ‘The Pinkprint’

The Pinkprint

Barbz rejoice. After months of waiting, Nicki Minaj has revealed the deluxe cover art for The Pinkprint. The third album from Young Money’s First Lady, which is now due December 15, has spawned the singles “Pills N Potions,” the Sir Mix-A-Lot-sampled hit “Anaconda,” and “Only” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown.

The simple, yet striking artwork features a thumbprint in pink ink (“It’s the key to my heart,” said Nicki) and was designed by Kanye West’s creative team DONDA, who did the artwork for Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II and 2 Chainz’ B.O.A.T.S. II.

“This is actually the #Deluxe cover. I’ll post the standard cover at a later date. #ThePinkprintAlbumCover thank u to the Kanye West team,” she said.

Nicki hopes the follow-up to 2012′s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will stand the test of time. “I think the album is so classic,” she told “The Breakfast Club.” “It’s gonna feel so good and I think it will probably be something that female rappers look to as a Pinkprint for years to come.”

Prior to the album’s release, Nicki will host the MTV EMA in Glasgow, Scotland on November 9.

Halloween 2014: Rihanna, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, & Jhené Aiko

Some of your favorite stars got in the Halloween spirit and dressed up while partying across the country. The costumes ranged from the scary (Tyga) to silly (Iggy Azalea) to sexy (Nicki Minaj), and everything in between.

After dressing up as Janet Jackson the day before, Beyoncé transformed into Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, while Jay Z went as famed artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Rihanna and her gang of girls traded last year’s zombie chola costumes for something mean and green. She was Raphael while roaming the streets of New York with the rest of her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Following her beef with Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azalea showed that she can laugh at herself, dressing as one of the characters from White Chicks while partying with J.Lo and Demi Lovato. “Bye haterzzzzz,” said Iggy.

Nicki Minaj got naughty, wearing a red bra and panties while biting into an apple. “And here I am going as the BAD TEACHER taking a bite out of the apple that the teacher’s pet gave me #ThotShitOnFleek,” she said.

Justin Bieber did the Shmoney Dance as a Power Ranger and Jhené Aiko had multiple costumes including Rainbow Brite and Pikachu.

There were plenty of couples costumes as well. Chris Brown and Karrueche went as Danny and Sandy from Grease, Bow Wow and his fiancée Erica Mena were zombies, and Ludacris and Eudoxie were supervillains Bane and Catwoman.

Kim Kardashian showed her love for fashion by dressing as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, while her daughter North West was contributing editor André Leon Talley. Earlier in the day, North ran through the house in a skunk costume.

Fabolous and his family were creepy and kooky as the Addams Family, Kendrick Lamar channeled Jesus in the Bermuda Triangle, and Jermaine Dupri reigned over Vegas as the Pope.

From Mariah Carey as Mrs. Claus to Rita Ora as Barbie, check out a gallery of 40 celebrity costumes below.
