Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, & Tyler, the Creator Celebrate New Myspace

Myspace gathered some of its famous friends and celebrated its relaunch with a star-studded party at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Looking sharp in a black-and-blue tuxedo, Pharrell entertained the crowd of celebrities and techies with his hits and new material including “Happy.” He brought out Robin Thicke to perform their No. 1 hit “Blurred Lines” as Leah LaBelle and Miley Cyrus danced onstage.

“Big bro killed it tonight @Pharrell,” tweeted Miley, who worked with Pharrell on her upcoming album.

Tyler, the Creator also joined his idol onstage, tweeting about the moment. “WOW TODAY WAS SO AWESOME OMG,” he said.

Myspace co-owner Justin Timberlake grabbed a front row seat to watch the festivities, showing love to his peers. “Shout out to @robinthicke for playing tonight!” he said, adding, “@fucktyler I LOVE this kid.”

Other stars in attendance included JoJo, Melody Thornton, and Asher Roth.

New Music: J-Kwon – ‘Pushing the Odds’ (Pusha T and Odd Future Diss)

A fire has been lit inside of J-Kwon. The St. Louis rapper, who topped the charts with his 2004 hit “Tipsy,” takes aim at Pusha T and Odd Future on his diss track “Pushing the Odds.”

The record is a response to disrespectful comments made about him by Odd Future (“Rella”) and Pusha T (“Only You Can Tell It”).

“All I wanna know is why they pickin’ on me? / ‘Cause I fuck around and pop yo ass,” threatens J-Kwon.

Tyler, the Creator responded on Twitter, writing, “DO YALL REMEMBER J-KWON? PROLLY NOT. BUT ANYWAY HE MADE A DISS SONG TOWARDS ODD FUTURE AND I AM SO FUCKING STOKED.”

Earl Sweatshirt Invades Coachella with Tyler, the Creator

Following Frank Ocean last year and Odd Future the year before, Earl Sweatshirt made his Coachella debut on Friday. The 19-year-old rapper delivered a late-night set in the desert, which included his viral singles “Chum” and “Whoa,” plus material from his upcoming album Doris.

Flying Lotus served as his DJ and Tyler, the Creator crashed the stage, climbing the rafters while performing “Tamale” and “Rusty” with Domo.

They exchanged compliments on Twitter. “THEBE DID HIS THANG TONIGHT FUCKING STUPID BITCH,” tweeted Tyler, to which Earl responded, “YOU SMELL LIKE SHIT THANKS.”

Tyler, the Creator Debuts Second Mountain Dew Commercial

Tyler, the Creator reprises his role as Felicia the Goat in his second commercial for Mountain Dew, which he directed. After speeding on the highway, Felicia gets pulled over by a police officer (“Loiter Squad’s” Lionel Boyce) for a “Dew-U-I.” The cop opens his trunk to find it filled with Mountain Dew. Felicia panics and flees the scene, screaming his signature catchphrase, “You’re never gonna catch me!”

Tyler, the Creator Performs on ‘Letterman’

Tyler, the Creator has graduated to the big leagues. After performing twice on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the Odd Future frontman made his first appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Thursday. He brought his groupmates Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis along with him to perform “Rusty” off his new album WOLF.

As Domo spit his verse, Tyler and Earl hilariously danced in the background. All three abruptly walking off stage at the end, but came back to take a selfie with Letterman.

Tyler described the strange experience. “I CURSED AT THE END AND THEY WERE SO FUCKING MAD I HOPE THEY PUT IT ON THERE AND JUST BLEEP IT OUT. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND I SAID SORRY,” he tweeted. “BUT IT WAS SO AWKWARD, FISH OUTTA WATER THING. I NEEDED THAT. LEGIT.”

WOLF is expected to sell 85-95,000 copies in its first week.

New Music: Tyler, the Creator – ‘Wolf’ [Album Stream]

Tyler, the Creator will unleash his third album Wolf on Tuesday. The Odd Future frontman kicks off Easter weekend by giving his fans an early listen to the 18 tracks, which feature Pharrell (“IFHY”), Erykah Badu (“Treehome95″), Frank Ocean (“Slater”), and the rest of the Odd Future gang.

Early reviews are starting to trickle in. Billboard writes, “Fair weathered Odd Future fans might find Wolf to be another notch in Tyler’s dysfunctional belt. However, with a closer listen, there is an obvious growth. This might be the last time Tyler attacks his issues on wax before spiraling off into another dimension a la Eminem.”
