Tyler, the Creator gets burned by love in the self-directed video for “IFHY,” his collaboration with Pharrell off his new album Wolf, due April 2. The Odd Future leader plays a lovestruck doll, acting out scenes in a dollhouse with a plastic girlfriend. The real-life Tyler later drives through a neighborhood with his OF groupmate Hodgy Beats as his song “Jamba” blasts from the speakers.
He received praise from his mentor Pharrell. “This guy @fucktyler is talent ungoverned…feral…creates with his self appointed license..sick music, lyrics and directs his videos,” tweeted The Neptunes producer.
In addition to Pharrell, Wolf includes collaborations with Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, and more of his Odd Future crew.
Tyler, the Creator gathers some of his favorite people for his third solo album Wolf. The Odd Future leader shares the 18 tracks with his OFWGKTA gang including Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Hodgy Beats, Jasper, Taco, Left Brain, Domo Genesis, and more.

Tyler, the Creator is letting his imagination run wild in a new commercial for Mountain Dew. The Odd Future frontman voices a “nasty goat” named Felicia (also his Instagram name) in the TV spot, which he directed. When a waitress offers Felicia an ice cold Dew, he turns her down before attacking her and taking the soft drink. He chases her out of the restaurant as she screams.
“MOUNTAIN DEW GAVE ME A CHANCE TO JUST HAVE FUN BEHIND THE CAMERA. THANKS,” tweeted Tyler.
The hilarious ad will begin airing on television this week and marks the first in a series of commercials starring Felicia the Goat and Errol Chatham.
All eyes were on Earl Sweatshirt, who made his SXSW debut during several showcases in Austin, Texas, over the past week. Following in the footsteps of his fellow Odd Future members, who invaded the stage in 2011, the much-buzzed-about rapper staged a solo set at The FADER FORT on Saturday.
Wearing a yellow T-shirt that said “Knowledge Reigns,” the 19-year-old was joined by DJ Flying Lotus as he performed material off his upcoming album Doris including his Tyler, the Creator-produced single “Whoa.”
Get a preview of what to expect from Earl’s Coachella set next month.
Earl Sweatshirt steps out of a trailer and into his wacky world in the video for “WHOA” featuring his fellow Odd Future member Tyler, the Creator. In the bizarre visuals, Earl gets in bed with a ballerina, pushes Tyler in a shopping cart, and floats on a raft in the middle of a skate bowl.
“SONG IS GRIMEY SHITTY BASS RAP SHIT,” tweeted Tyler, who also directed the clip under the alias Wolf Haley.
Earl is working on his upcoming album Doris with Frank Ocean producer Om’Mas Keith.
“Earl’s album is very special, very creative,” Om’Mas told Rap-Up TV. “There are some very special people on that, and I think Earl is definitely a contender for Best Rap Album of the year next year for sure. I see Earl with Best Rap Album. I see Earl with Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. I definitely see him with a slew of acknowledgements next year.”
Tyler, the Creator is up to more trouble. During his visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Odd Future’s mischievous frontman crashed a photo between his OF groupmate Taco and Donald Trump. In the funny photobomb, he lifted his shirt and stuck out his tongue.
The real estate tycoon later saw the pic on Instagram and tweeted, “Guy in front asked for picture- said he was the biggest fan, never saw the guy in back.”
The next morning, a tired Tyler was a guest on “Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg Show with K Foxx.” He spoke about taking “selfies” with J.Lo, Jack White, and Big Sean at the Grammys and Frank Ocean’s performance, which received mixed reviews.
“I actually liked that version of ‘Forrest Gump’ better than the actual song that’s on the CD,” he said. “Everyone thinks I’m crazy, but that was my favorite Frank performance.”
Even Frank thought he was joking. “I told him, ‘Yo, that shit was tight.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, you’re being sarcastic, asshole.’ He told me he thought it could have been better and stuff.”
Plus, he discussed his upcoming album Wolf and the use of the N-word.
After making a raucous debut with Odd Future in 2011, frontman Tyler, the Creator returned to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday. Seated at the piano, he performed his jazzy tune “TreeHome” with Coco of Quadron before kicking her off stage to do his single “Domo23.” He brought out his OF bandmates Jasper and Taco and jumped on a piano during his animated set, which also featured The Roots.
“IM SORRY FOR THE SHITTY PERFORMANCE YALL. HAHAHA,” tweeted Tyler.
His new album Wolf is due April 2 and he will kick off a nationwide tour on March 12.
