Eminem and Rihanna Salute Veterans at ‘The Concert for Valor’

Rihanna and Eminem

In honor of Veteran’s Day, music’s biggest stars united in Washington, D.C. to pay tribute to the nation’s veterans at “The Concert for Valor.” The three-hour event, which aired live on HBO, featured performances from Eminem, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Dave Grohl, Zac Brown Band, and Carrie Underwood, with appearances from Jamie Foxx, Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, and Tom Hanks.

Before a crowd of 800,000 at the National Mall, Jennifer Hudson kicked things off with a stirring rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The powerhouse diva also joined Jessie J for a duet of David Guetta and Sia’s “Titanium,” and the British sensation stuck around to sing her hit “Bang Bang.”

Following an introduction from “Breaking Bad’s” Bryan Cranston, Rihanna—clad in a glittery cape—shined bright while singing “Diamonds.”

“Happy Veteran’s Day! I just want to thank you all, all the veterans, from the bottom of my heart for giving your time and your life for this country. We thank you, we love you,” said RiRi before dedicating “Stay” to them.

She closed out her set by bringing out Eminem for their duet “The Monster.”

“D.C., happy motherfu**in’ Veteran’s Day,” said Em before launching into his ShadyXV single “Guts Over Fear.” He dedicated “Not Afraid” to the veterans, and capped off the evening with “Lose Yourself.”

“To all the veterans in here tonight and everyone currently serving in our armed forces, and also to the ones who didn’t make it home, I just want to say thank you for your sacrifices,” said the Detroit rapper.

Watch Em and RiRi salute the troops.

Rihanna Channels ‘Scandal’s’ Olivia Pope During White House Visit

Rihanna

While in Washington, D.C. for a Veteran’s Day concert, Rihanna paid a visit to the White House on Monday. The pop superstar and her crew got a private tour of President Obama’s digs at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and also had some fun reenacting scenes from ABC’s hit political drama “Scandal.”

While standing at the podium in the press briefing room, RiRi pretended to be “Scandal” Press Secretary Abby Whelan (“#heyAbby,” she wrote), and posed with her pals including BFFs Melissa Forde and Jenn Rosales in the West Wing.

“West Wing Posse!! We wanna be O.P.A. so bad!!! #DayAtTheWhiteHouse,” she said.

With purse in hand, the fashionista stood at a payphone and channeled Kerry Washington’s well-dressed character Olivia Pope.

“CYRUS!!! LET ME IN!!” #DayAtTheWhiteHouse,” she said, referring to Cyrus Beene (played by Jeff Perry), and also shouted out Tony Goldwyn’s character President Fitzgerald Grant (“Fitz, darling…”).

The real Olivia Pope, Kerry Washington, approved, retweeting a photo and writing, “True #gladiators.”

Later today, Rihanna will salute the nation’s veterans by performing at “The Concert for Valor” at the National Mall. Other performers include Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, and Carrie Underwood.

Chris Brown Talks Jail, Lean Addiction, Rihanna, & Drake with Ebro

Chris Brown

Chris Brown stopped by Hot 97′s “Ebro in the Morning” on Friday for an in-depth interview. The “Loyal” singer, who recently settled his lawsuits including the one in D.C., opened up about everything from his past with Rihanna to squashing his beef with Drake to his time in jail.

During his sit-down with Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez, Breezy admitted that he was unsure where his career would take him after jail. “Once you do that, it kinda makes you mature faster and see what’s really important and what your focus is and what you gotta do in your career,” he said.

It was Drake’s camp who initially reached out about the ESPYS skit. So far, Nicki’s single “Only” is the only collaboration the two have recorded. When asked if there will be more he said, “Hopefully. They gotta cut the check.”

The most Chris charges for a feature is $250,000, and he demands a cut of the publishing. “If I’ma give you a No. 1, I need to capitalize off it as well,” he said.

He claimed that he lost $20 million in endorsements due to his bad reputation, but said that he makes 50 percent of all sales off his album.

He and Trey Songz are gearing up to launch their joint tour. The tour does not have a title, but he has been considering “One Night Stand” and “The Morning After” as potential names for the two-hour show.

He also revealed that he was addicted to lean (“the hood cocktail”) and found it impairing his work. “I was turning up. I was off the syrup and Xanax,” he said. “It wasn’t conducive to me. I was falling asleep on video sets, I was cussing people out randomly, I was doing crazy stuff.”

Through his trials and tribulations, he’s learned to be comfortable in his own skin. “I don’t have to prove myself,” said Chris. “I’m comfortable being a singing, dancing, painting, great guy. I don’t have to be tough.”

Plus, hear what he had to say about his girlfriend of four-and-a-half years Karrueche Tran, battling Usher in a dance-off, and what he fears most.

Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, & Miley Cyrus Honor Tom Ford at amfAR Gala

Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and Tom Ford

Rihanna stepped out in style to honor Tom Ford at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Hollywood on Wednesday. The “Stay” singer turned heads in a white Tom Ford gown with a high slit and nipple pasties while mingling with Justin Timberlake, host Gwyneth Paltrow, and Miley Cyrus, who opted for a black bondage dress.

RiRi presented the designer with amfAR’s Award of Inspiration. “Everyone looks good in Tom Ford,” she told the chic crowd. “Over the past 20 years, Tom Ford has been honored with every major fashion award there is. Tonight, we honor him both for his incredible talent and for what he stands for. We honor him for doing good while making us look good.”

She supported the cause by dropping $35,000 on a pair of Harry Winston diamond link earrings and $100,000 on the photograph “Elizabeth Taylor at the Eden Roc” by Willy Rizzo, with all proceeds benefiting AIDS research. Timberlake also opened his wallet, bidding $80,000 on a Damien Hirst painting.

Chris Martin kicked off the evening with a performance, while Diana Ross closed it out with her anthem “I’m Coming Out.”
