Snoop Lion Gets High and Hilarious with Nardwuar

Snoop Lion and Nardwuar

Snoop Dogg met up with Nardwuar at SXSW, this time as Snoop Lion. As always, the Canadian interviewer came bearing gifts including an old concert poster, which he asked him to sign. “You bring shit that I should be taking from your ass, but I’ma sign it for you,” said Snoop.

He also presented him with a Snoop figurine, inflatable Beyoncé doll (“You ain’t getting this back,” said Snoop), and Blowfly bobblehead.

When asked why he didn’t get the shout-out that he was promised in his album, Snoop replied, “Get used to it. I tell a whole bunch of motherfuckin’ lies.”

The Reincarnated rapper also got Nardwuar high on his supply, blowing kush in his mouth while posing for his signature shot.

New Music: Snoop Lion f/ Drake & Cori B – ‘No Guns Allowed’

No Guns Allowed

It’s a brand new Snoop. The West Coast icon sheds his gangsta ways and spreads a message of non-violence on “No Guns Allowed” featuring Drake and his daughter Cori B. The peaceful record, produced by Major Lazer and Ariel Rechtshaid, was inspired by recent tragedies and contains additional vocals by Angela Hunte and Snoop’s wife Shante Broadus.

“I just felt like I had got to the point in my career and my life where I didn’t need guns in my life because I didn’t project that energy,” Snoop told Piers Morgan. “I felt like I was positive and peaceful. At the same time, I kept hearing about all these school shootings and these people getting guns in their hands and not knowing what to do with them and just going on a rampage, so it really touched me and affected me to where I wanted to say something.”

Drizzy recounts a tragic shooting involving a friend, dedicating his verse to those he’s lost. “Bullets do not chose a victim, it is the shooter that picks ‘em,” he raps.

The reggae song will appear on Snoop Lion’s album Reincarnated, due April 23.

All hail Snoop Lion. The rapper-turned-reggae star continues his Reincarnated journey with the video for “Here Comes the King.” As part of his career reinvention and spiritual reawakening, Snoop escapes to Jamaica where he performs in a white palace with cheerleaders while wearing a cassock and glittery Rasta shades.

“We were searching for true reggae music,” said Snoop, who will perform at the Staples Center in L.A. on June 29 as part of the BET Experience. “That’s what this record is all about. It’s about paying homage and giving love to those who created reggae music and honoring what it was made for.”
