Solange Unveils ‘True’ EP Limited Edition Cover

Solange has teamed up with Opening Ceremony for a limited edition of her 2012 EP, True. The album features the same seven songs off her critically-acclaimed project including the single “Losing You,” all wrapped in a colorful new package designed by New York artist Mickalene Thomas.

The collage artwork picks up where the “Losing You” trailer left off, showcasing Thomas’ signature vibrant colors and textures.

You can get your hands on the special edition starting Monday, March 11, at Opening Ceremony stores and online.

Solange Performs at MoMA Armory Party

Music and fashion met at the Museum of Modern Art for The Armory Party, a benefit event celebrating the opening of The Armory Show. Solange provided the evening’s entertainment and brought her fashion A-game to the stage, wearing a Vika Gazinskaya outfit and Sportmax heels.

The R&B darling had the chic crowd dancing and singing along to music off her EP True including her single “Losing You.” Her big sis Beyoncé and Roc Nation affiliate Melanie Fiona were also spotted at the fashionable affair.

“Thank you MOMA, and everyone who came and rocked! That was so, so, fun. You guys were beautiful,” tweeted Solo.

Solange Performs ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ on ‘Letterman’

Solange brought her talents to “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Wednesday. Dressed in polka dots, the 26-year-old songstress was joined by her band and collaborator Devonté Hynes as she performed “Don’t Let Me Down,” her favorite track off her EP True.

“It really encompasses a few different elements for me that are really personal,” she told Rap-Up.com of the self-penned tune. “When I was writing the song, I was just thinking about a certain space in my relationship.”

Letterman liked the performance so much that he proposed that they tour together. “I’m down,” laughed Solange.

Solange, Jamie Foxx, Robin Thicke, & John Legend Attend Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Solange hit the town on Sunday following the Oscars. The “Losing You” singer shimmered in a yellow dress while attending Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar Party hosted by Graydon Carter at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood. She mingled with Oscars’ leading ladies including Jennifer Hudson, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anne Hathaway.

The star-studded affair also drew Robin Thicke, who stepped out with his wife Paula Patton. John Legend brought his fiancée Chrissy Teigen, and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx escorted his 19-year-old daughter Corinne, who was excited to meet Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

“All my childhood dreams come true,” she tweeted.

The stars came out to celebrate the opening of Topshop and Topman’s newest store at The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Chris Brown looked fresh as he posed in a heart hoodie and red Reebok Kamikaze IIs at the launch event at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood.

Fresh off DJing her sister Beyoncé’s documentary premiere in New York the night before, the stylish Solange entertained the star-studded crowd, which included Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Milian, will.i.am, Estelle, and Kim Kardashian.

Beyoncé Celebrates ‘Life Is But a Dream’ Premiere with Jay-Z, Solange, and Oprah

Who’s badder than Beyoncé? The pop icon was glowing as she attended the premiere of her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream in New York on Tuesday. A blonde Bey turned heads in a beaded nude gown by Elie Saab while posing on the red carpet and speaking to reporters.

She was surrounded by her family including husband Jay-Z, sister Solange, and mother Tina, along with her friends The-Dream, Angela Bassett, Luke James, ?uestlove, Chris Rock, Russell Simmons, Victor Cruz, and more.

Before the screening, she sat down with Oprah for an interview about the film and revealed that Blue Ivy inspired the title, which comes from her daughter’s favorite nursery rhyme, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.”

The revelatory documentary, which Beyoncé executive produced, received Oprah’s stamp of approval. “People are going to be amazed. … People are going to feel a connection to her that they didn’t feel before because she shows us how real she is,” she told omg! INSIDER. “I think that documentary is a game changer.”

The star-studded crowd then headed to the after-party, where Solange played DJ, and the sisters were seen doing the bunny hop.

Earlier in the day, Oprah interviewed Bey for “Next Chapter,” which airs Saturday, February 16, at 8 p.m. on OWN followed by Life Is But a Dream at 9 p.m. on HBO.

Solange Performs at the House of Blues in L.A.

Solange kicked off Grammy weekend on a high note with a sold-out show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on Thursday night. As her sister Beyoncé and brother-in-law Jay-Z watched from the balcony, the 26-year-old singer and her band including Devonté “Dev” Hynes performed new material off her EP True.

She had everyone including her big sis dancing along to her funky single “Losing You” and took it back to 2002 with The Neptunes-produced “Crush.”

“I seriously have the best fucking job in the world to be here with you guys,” said Solange, who will wrap her U.S. tour on February 23 in Chicago.

She also debuted the extended version of “Looks Good With Trouble,” an interlude on True, and closed with “Sandcastle Disco” off 2008’s Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams.

In addition to Bey and Jay, the star-studded crowd included Pharrell, Timbaland, Melanie Fiona, Bridget Kelly, and Roc Nation’s newest signee Kylie Minogue. Jhené Aiko warmed up the crowd with her smooth sounds.
