New Music: The Weeknd – ‘Wicked Games’ (New Version)

The Weeknd

Days after announcing his deal with Universal Republic, The Weeknd debuts the mixed and mastered version of “Wicked Games,” the first single off his major-label debut Trilogy. The song originally appeared on his 2011 debut mixtape House of Balloons, but has now been redone and shortened by a minute.

Due November 13, Trilogy will include mixed and mastered versions of cuts from his mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence, along with newly recorded material.

Drake Performs with Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, & 2 Chainz at ‘Club Paradise’ Tour Kickoff

Drake kicked off the second leg of his “Club Paradise” tour with some special guests. The Canadian hip-hop star pulled into the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord, Calif. on Monday night for the first date of the North American trek with 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, and French Montana (J. Cole will meet up with them tonight in Irvine).

After serving up solo sets, Drizzy brought back his tourmates including Waka Flocka for “Round of Applause,” French Montana for “Stay Schemin’,” and 2 Chainz to perform “No Lie” for the first time live. Surprise guest The Weeknd joined him for “Crew Love” and the crowd roared when Lil Wayne skated out for “HYFR” and “The Motto.”

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will throw a gangsta party in the desert this April. The West Coast icons have been announced as co-headliners for this year’s Coachella Music & Arts Festival.

The dynamic duo will perform their hip-hop classics on the final day of the three-day festival, which will run for two consecutive weekends on April 13-15 and April 20-22 in Indio, Calif. Previous headliners include Prince, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and the Beastie Boys.
